As with every time I stay at El Cid, I must complain about the sheets and pillows. Your sheets are extremely uncomfortable. They feel like they are 100% polyester similar to the sheets found in 1 star hotels in Mexcio City. and the pillows are hard as a rock. Everything else was great, but when I visit you about 7 hrs a night are not at the par with the rest.

My wife and I spent a week here at the end of October 2019. 1 bedroom suites are huge with great ocean views and balconies, 2 bathrooms, handy kitchenettes. Some would call the rooms "worn". I would call it only slightly faded grandeur. Massive corridors on each floor, windows in the elevators, 80's elegance and chic all around. They don't make'em like this any more. Good beach with great swimming. Friendly, helpful laid back staff. We would definitely go back and will go back as soon as we can. It's a good time to go to Mazatlan. It's coming out of what has been called a slump. People are generally friendly and not jaded. It's still reasonably "quiet" and still very genuinely Mexican especially if you can get downtown or go to a baseball game or enjoy one of the brass "bandas" on the beach. Hopefully it won't become overcrowded with buildings and people and become overdeveloped.

A great week at the Resort. Very helpful and friendly staff. A good selection of food at the various buffets and at the individual restaurants. Be sure to take a tour to downtown Matazalan and along the beach walk. Very safe day or evening. My only complaint is the $20/person sur charge to at the Steak House. I was led to believe that it was something special. Food not even cooked at this restaurant; but brought over from another restaurant. Service (not due to wait staff) was very slow (3 hours to eat) and we missed the evening show.

    Our trip to El CID.

I am looking forward to being back in February. Our favorite place to relax. We have made many friends there.. It’s like coming home to family. The staff could not be more helpful. The restaurants are very good. We really like sitting out at the pool and enjoying the warm sunny weather

    The beach was fantastic!

We loved the beach! La Concha restaurant was right next to the beach which made for a great way to start the day with a breakfast buffet. The rooms (we had a suite) were large and clean. The bed mattresses were too hard for us. Our two favorite resort restaurants were La Terrace at the Marina and Prime Grill at the Golf course. Be sure to take the City Tour if this is your first time in Mazatlan. Only dislike was the pressure to participate in a timeshare presentation at registration.
