We took our grandchildren and their parents to the resort and stayed in a large suite with enough bedrooms for all of us. It also had kitchen facilities but nothing was provided except for one dish. No paper towels, no dishwashing liquid, nothing. Had to ask for these things to be sent up to us. The man who was assigned to make sure we had what we needed always tried to get the things we needed so I don’t blame him. If a hotel guest is paying for a kitchen, then it would be helpful to supply the room with those necessary items. We had a lovely patio facing the ocean and the pools were wonderful. Kevin, the man who ran the exercise programs, is the best thing about the resort. I did a water aerobics class with my daughter every day and boy did Kevin get the group going!! There is a kids’ club on the premises but my grandchildren were not interested. The 3 and a half year only wanted to swim all day. Nicest vacation I can remember. The hotel employees are lovely and helpful. It rained for a few minutes each day but it did not interfere with our fun!

Loved our stay at the Jewel Grande! Beautiful property with great beach, pools and amenities. Kemar is awesome host for the water sports and related activities. Ricardo is an awesome chef and personality at the Asian Restuarant. Garon and Ramone, our suite butlers were 5 star, you need something they make it happen! Buffet was very good and tasty! Room was just georgeous and with great views. Only complaint was there are no tennis courts on property which is fine, but there are tennis courts at the Hyatt Ziva next door that is managed by the same property management company. Hard to believe that they can't figure out a way for the Jewel Grande guests to be able to use the tennis courts at the Hyatt Ziva. They wanted me to buy a day pass for $125 a day to be able to use their tennis courts! That was very frustrating! Overall the Grande is a 5 star resort, but if you want to play tennis you are better off staying at the Hyatt Ziva!

From the moment we walked in to the lobby and met Avia until we left, we had a fabulous time! Our Sentry building room was spectacular. A/C was nice! Always clean and even had turn down service! Our balcony overlooked the swim up bar and had a great ocean view. It was not loud during the day nor was it at night. We had great views of a thunder and lightning storm over the ocean. The breakfast buffet with the make your own morning beverages( mimosas and Bloody Mary's) was always fantastic! Ringo and the staff made you feel welcome and made sure you had whatever you needed! Yes the ocean had patches of seaweed but it is certainly not the hotels fault. If you get into a patch MOVE! The beach servers were great. I didn't have to wear water shoes! The pools were warm and clean. The swim up bar with Henry was fun! Never had to wait for a drink. Lots of laughs! Participated in water aerobics with a drink in my hand and had a blast! It really is a good work out. Learned to dance one afternoon! The guests were fantastic. Met so many great people ( a shout out to the Ohioans, the couple from Hamilton,Canada and so many more.)We ate at the Steakhouse (slow but good) The seafood restaurant was excellent! The octopus carpachio was great. The Asian restaurant was good but it was hot! ( there was a portable a/c so they are trying.) The food at the pelican was good chicken wings yum... order a pizza and have it delivered to there! I have to say we had an absolute blast at the Clubhouse bar with Ricardo! He makes a mean mojito along with other drinks. But his signature drink in our eyes is his "Horny Donkey". It is excellent! When you go to Jewel Grande, ask Ricardo for one! He will smile and know who told you to try one! We can't wait to go back ! Already planning our next trip!

The room was gorgeous, I don't think the pictures on the website even do it justice. The ocean view is definitely worth the little extra money. We went on a very quiet week (just after labor day when all kids went back to school), so I can only speak on the experience we had. It was perfect, I highly recommend going during a quiet week. The service was outstanding. Everyone we met seemed extremely happy to work here and wanted nothing but our experience to be outstanding. The food was amazing. Definitely make reservations for the hibachi table, it was DELICIOUS. We also took advantage of the fresh lobsters caught behind the hotel and had one prepared. It was amazing! All of the restaurants were great. The poolside bars also had great food you could grab in between pool and beach activities. But the lunch buffet is not to be missed. We only took advantage the last day because I loved the chicken wings by the pool so much I insisted on eating them every day. Don't miss the lunch buffet though. It was great!! The drinks are strong and and the liquor is good. We had a lot of friends make us worry because of their experiences with watered down alcohol or low quality liquors, but not at the Jewel Grande! I drank my Titos and soda just how I like it! They truly aim to please and the only negative is my own fault, i missed time in the spa! It's beautiful, definitely take advantage of their daily specials!

I have to admit, we were supposed to be honeymooning in the Bahamas but with hurricane Dorian we decided to switch paths to Jamaica. We knew nothing about Jamaica as we booked our visit the same day we traveled purely for convenience of flights. I can’t express enough how glad I am that we decided to book our trip to Jamaica but specifically to the Jewel Grande. I know everyone has expressed this, but I will continue to reiterate how amazing it is here. The staff are incredibly attentive, genuine, and kind. We got to know and made friends with multiple staff members here. To name a few, Decare, Williams (the amazing pool DJ), Davin from Le Bouchon, Daniella and Jodi-Kay. The last night we had a private dinner on the water in the gazebo with a custom menu. Our server was Daniel, and he was absolutely wonderful too. The food here is delicious. I was skeptical with it being all inclusive but the quality and service was top notch— better than anything we’ve received in the states. For the dinners that we’ve had here, I would equate it to $85-100 meals back home. We came during a slow time because of hurricane season, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. Beaches and pools we had nearly to ourselves. That being said, we really got our money’s worth because of being big eaters and fairly big drinkers. Room service is also great for those lazy days that you can’t quite make it up in time for breakfast! We hardly left the resort, mostly because we enjoyed lounging by the pool and beach, but there are excursions you can book and there is some form of entertainment every night. Also, we had an exquisite experience at their spa— it is absolutely lovely. You have the option to soak in the Himalayan salt pool (private), sauna or steam room before or after your service. The couples massage we received was wonderful and relaxing. Overall, I can’t express how grateful and happy we are that we chose not only chose Jamaica to visit, but specifically the Jewel Grande. We will most definitely be returning!
