My husband and I stayed our Royal Caribbean. We booked the PS Butler Category. It was a very nice room. We appreciated the vibe offered at the resort. This is a more laid back resort. Our butlers JP and Andre were excellent. They actually read are requests on the app and followed every request to a “T”. I stayed in Negril and loved it, but our butlers didn’t do what this team did. They made our stay so memorable. We were surprised with our favorite treats in our room, baths were prepared with lovely notes and rose petals. We were offered service on the beach religiously by our butlers and the wait staff. They couldn’t do enough for you. They staff were so on point, it was truly a relaxing vacation. You didn’t feel bombarded or overwhelmed by the staff, just kindness. The entertainment manager and staff were fabulous . A shout out to Warren who made us laugh and entertained us. Love him and his fellow coworkers. They couldn’t do enough to please and engage you with fun activities. Such talent!!! I must shout out to Mark the manager of Bombay. The food, service, cleanliness, and willingness to please was amazing. He is exceptional. We will miss him. The Thai restaurant was good on one night and not good on another. We voiced our opinion on the loop because of the drastic difference in taste and Ingredients. I was surprised. The Italian restaurant did not resemble Italian food as much, it was my least favorite. The French restaurant was very good...the lamb shank was amazing and so was the flourless chocolate cake!!! Omg, I am going to miss that!!!!!! Overall, the vacation was spectacular. We are booked for Sandals Royal Barbados 12/2021. I will eventually good back to Royal Caribbean, but I want to try all the resorts before duplicating one of them. Thank RC for a wonderful vacation!!!!

Sandals has prided itself on setting the standard among couples only all inclusive resorts. And during the time of COVID we were very excited to venture out once again to visit another Sandals location. Our journey began when we landed at the Sangster International Airport in Jamaica. We ventured through customs to Sandals arrival lounge where we checked in and were quickly escorted to our private car transport. David, our driver, loaded our bags and quickly had us at our resort in under 15 minutes. We were greeted by our butler and escorted to our room where we were shown the features of the room, how to contact the butler on the Sandals provided phone, and given our key cards. We were excited to be in Jamaica and thrilled with the swim up room that we had booked. The decor was warm and inviting with a huge bathroom, walk in shower and whirlpool tub. The bed was comfortable but very tall which proved challenging for my short spouse. (Butler did provide a set of stairs to make getting into bed easier for her). The room is showing it’s age with a few missing tiles in the bathroom and a burned out light in the mirror for our entire stay. The air conditioning unit had a slow drip from before we arrived and has actually left a mark on the tile from the extremely long period of dripping. Maintenance had placed a piece of tape in an effort to repair. When a manager asked us about our room we mentioned this issue. Maintenance showed up to look at the issue and scolded us by saying “Why have you waited so long to tell anyone?” Like it is my job to have this fixed. And they still hadn’t fixed this by the time we left. The resort only had 7 restaurants that were open (Royal Thai, Cricketer's Pub, The Mariner, Spices, Jerk Shack, Bombay, La Tavola). The Royal Thai and the Jerk Shack are on the private island and require a boat ride to get there unless you are in the over the water rooms. The Thailand inspired restaurant has a very limited menu and we heard at least one couple leave the restaurant saying “she can’t find anything to eat.” Bombay and La Tavola were both good but we had nothing to rave about. Over all we found the food serviceable but lacking for a “5 star” resort. The beach is small and very hard packed sand. Since this is in a protected bay the sand doesn’t see much erosion so the staff doesn’t seem to groom the sand much. A quick raking could loosen the sand and make it “softer” and more enjoyable. The pools were nice and the staff was very friendly and inviting. In fact a young man would great us every morning and jumped the pool our last day to come say bye. The resort is small so it is hard to get away from the noise around the main pool. We giggled as the staff attempted to play some games like “name the Bob Marley tune” but none of the young crowd could name any songs. Overall the resort provided some rest that was much needed, but we really did not believe that we received the promised value for our hard earned money. We ventured off campus to the Negril and Montego Bay sister resorts and regretted our choice of the Royal Caribbean. The other resorts truly seemed to be better cared for and significantly larger.
Great Resort, Great Staff, Will return for 3rd time

We thoroughly enjoyed our second visit to Sandals RC in Montego Bay. The resort is great and is located about 10 minutes from the airport. We stayed in the Clarence Building on the top floor in a Crystal Lagoon Honeymoon Penthouse Oceanview One Bedroom Butler Suite (PH). The room was nice. A large bathroom with tub, shower, dual vanity and w/c. There was a small closet. The room had a king bed, sofa and small table. There was another sofa and table on the covered balcony. This building is centrally located. The Loyalty Dinner, Jardiner and Tavola and Butchs provided great dining for us in the evenings. You can't beat the room service breakfast. Sandals MB is just a short shuttle ride away. It's def worth exploring. The real high point of our trip was Shana-Kay our butler. She was amazing. She delivered everything we asked for and many surprises we didn't. We were also helped by some great people during our visit to Sandals Montego Bay a special thank you to Sarah Kaye, Damien, Natassia and Tajia who were more than welcoming.
