Nice place to stay not too far from Time Square. The hotel is located near Grand Central. The lobby of the hotel is beautiful and grand. The room not so much so... Our room was dated and in need of a renovation. The bathroom was very small. Service is similar to what you receive in New York. We would stay here again.

We couldn’t use any of the facilities as the hotel closed them at the request of the governor , the staff who were present were very helpful during the lockdown . We would like to return when the pandemic is over and see the hotel when it’s fully functional

Chandeliers, beautifull details, carpets etc.....lovely helpfully staff. The entry is magic. The hotelrooms are spacious and clean, but could use some maintenance. Breakfast has various options. Location is great.

I'm a frequent traveler to NYC and love a good deal. Despite seeing some of the negative reviews I decided to give this place a go and booked. First thing, the lobby is remarkable and really calmed some of our worries. Quick check in. But the rooms apparently need help. Damaged doors, peeling bathtub, loose fixture, not good. The maids need to take some extra time especially with all that is going on. Mounds of dirt and caked on dust, bedskirt stained. We decided to just clean our rooms the best we could. Won't stay again.

    Very disappointing!

Clearer communication off additional charges is required (we booked via British Airways but upon check in we were advised of an additional $35 plus Vat per night). If we had been made aware of this we would not have booked this hotel (we have been to NYC 5 times and never incurred such charges - this is very underhand). General attitude of reception staff was very blunt, they were not willing to take on board any form of feedback. We had come to NYC to celebrate a special birthday and nothing had been done to even acknowledge it. We mentioned at check in that we had e-mailed the hotel prior to arriving to ask if anything could be done to make it an extra special visit, we were told you shouldn’t e-mail if you want a response you should have rang! However, even despite this conversation there was nothing forthcoming. We do not expect a 4 star plus hotel to treat guests in this manner. Hotel room was very poor and is in desperate need of a refurbishment, I would say 2-3 stars at the very best. We stayed in room 1436 the noise from outside was horrific through out the night, a combination of traffic and what sounded like building work. In terms of the room itself the best word to describe it is basic, there were no tea /coffee making facilities, the tap leaked continually and the air conditioning / heating sounded like an aeroplane taking off whenever it was switched on. I understand we are going through unprecedented times at that moment with COVID-19, however the lack of communication from the hotel was unacceptable - all they did was remove seats from the reception area. I didn’t see any notices, advice, information or reassurances offered to guests. All in all a very disappointing hotel and one which I would certainly not stay at again or recommend. The hotel proactively requested feedback which I gave on the first night when signing into the hotels wifi. Apparently this feedback is valued and taken seriously. I provided both my contact phone number and e-mail address and am still awaiting contact - an absolute joke, do not ask for feedback if you aren’t going to do anything about it!
