    Do not come during Easter

As I lay awake for the 4th night in a row I write this because apparently during Easter the island celebrates with a gigantic extremely loud DJ and music on the beach adjacent to the property that is government owned. So the government gives a permit to blast lights and the loudest concert you can imagine that starts at 7am and goes till 4am for 4 days in a row, This is the way Easter is celebrated on the island and the police and the government allows this, The palace staff is helpless and lies to you when you check in knowing fully this happens every year. We were told we will love our location and our room which is basically next to the beach with a 4 day concert where the base makes your room vibrate till 4am only to listen to it again next night. The place is crowded and the hotel cannot handle the cpacity and expect 3 hour dinners every night basically at one of only 4;restaurants. Never expect to get one of 4 hibachi tables for 500 guests on the premise even as a VIP member which we are. No one should be subjected to this where you are in a loud never ending concert for 4 days. If you come here during Easter expect this every year but don’t expect anyone at palace to tell you what to expect until you find out first hand.....and their answer is that there is a permit for this so they can’t do anything about it....never again.

Resort itself is very good, but extremely loud music from town at night:(

Overall resort itself is very good and great for families. Clean rooms, many great activities... catamaran, kayak, foam party for kids. Food and restaurants are ok. However I’m writing this review at night because for second night now there is 1000 decibel music coming from somewhere in the town and is literally shaking the building we are in. Last night it was blaring through the entire night into the morning. I couldn’t sleep and head is pounding. Tonight just started out but it’s insane already and I feel like it’s going to be worse. It’s a shame because it has nothing to do with the resort itself, maybe it’s my room location, but feel like people NEED to know this. Holy moly.

    Best Entertainment Staff

So we had the time of our lives with the entertainment staff. We love three in particular because they stand out amongst the whole crew. They are Khaleel Simms, Romell Wynter and Johnoy Spence. Just because of them we want to return in the future. They made our trip so much better. Absolute assets to the company.

Amazing experience. The staff was very courteous and respectful. My masseuse was Ms. Bailey, she had hands of magic. I had the holistic massage and highly recommend it. Everything leading up to the massage was great, sauna, ice room, pool massage everything!!!!!

Fun time at a family freindly resort.

We stayed at the Moon Palace - Ocho Rios, Jamaica fro 6 nights/7 days during Spring Break 2019. It was my husband, myself and our 13 year old daughter. It was our first time at a Moon Palace and in Jamiaca. We read reviews on Trip Advisor and it seemed that Moon Palace was a good family-friendly resort with lots to do for everyone. We did purchase this vacation through Costco Travel and one very nice inclusion was access to the Mobay Club at the airport. Since the hotel/transport is about 1.5 hours from the airport, and they want you to depart from the hotel 5-6 hours before your flight, there is a lot of time spent in the airport. However, the Mobay Club gives you speedy access through the security check point, and a VIP lounge with open bar, a light buffet with tables/chairs, sofas, internet, restrooms, etc., to use and enjoy while waiting for your flight. I understand you can purchase separately tickets to access to this lounge. I dont know the cost, but it was very nice to have. Overall, We had a nice time, it was great to be away from work and the very day and spend eimt with family. However, it wasn't a vacation that "wow'd" us. I am not sure if it was the desitantion, the resort, or just the "Vibe" I'm glald we came, but I'm not sure if we will be back to Moon Palace Jamaica... perhaps another Moon Palacec, or perhaps another Resort/City in Jamaica.
