It’s our go to place to stay when going to Disneyland. Comfortable rooms, we had a ground floor patio room this time that we enjoyed. Nice grounds, friendly staff. Easy walk to the park entrance. Love the pizza place connected to lobby. Great pool area for those mid day breaks.

The room was very clean. The hotel was close to Disneyland so we could come back to the room for a nap. They let us park before check in and then we walked over to the park. We will stay here agin for sure!

I have to give a shout out to Cody for helping me out with parking. Working in the hospitality industry myself, I know the importance of good customer service and I appreciate when I receive it. Thanks again, Cody!

I chose this hotel in the hopes of getting a room with a balcony. There were none available when I first called but they said there's a chance they'd be available when we arrived. The patios below are bigger (and have a small landscape feature - tree or plant) but I'd hoped for a view of the fireworks, which was more likely from the balcony. (Pros for the lower level - big patio, don't have to worry about kids stomping around and bothering downstairs neighbors! If you have a stroller then for sure get ground floor or if you cannot haul your luggage up the steps! After a hearty discussion about it, DH and I decided the balcony was a good choice for us.) Layout of property The rooms are all in various buildings with central outdoor walkways. I didn't see an elevator so I lugged my very-heavy suitcase up the stairs. I walked through the upstairs "hall" later and never saw an elevator so be warned that luggage and strollers must be carried up the stairs! There is a big pool and a hot tub in the middle of the property and some really lovely patio areas as well as lawn games available during the day. It is really a beautiful property and they put a lot of effort into landscaping. Lobby The lobby is really nice - spacious and modern feeling. Nice and bright. There is a bar off the lobby and the Pizza Press is behind that. Check in and check out were really quick even when there were people waiting. Food/Drinks Excellent drinks from the bar each time we ordered and pizza was delicious, even to my picky kids! We didn’t eat breakfast so no comment there. Standard Room w/ two queen beds - We had a standard room (we moved to this from an Executive Queen to get a balcony) and it is plenty big. (Front desk told me the Executive is larger but no balcony.) - Closet isn't huge but is big enough. Contains iron/board, hair dryer, luggage stand and safe. - Not a wide desk but it is deep (which allowed more storage space for laptop, tablets, etc.) and has two outlets on the lamp. One of our outlets didn't work. - Big TV, not too many channels but enough - Nightstand has clock, phone and outlet/USB box (3 USB slots that support fast charging, 2 outlets). - Fridge in room, no microwave. Coffee (single cup but not Keurig). We almost never use a microwave in hotel so this was fine for us. Fridge is indispensable. - 6 nice, big drawers for unpacking - Under the bed is solid so suitcase has to either go into (small) closet or be out somewhere out in the room. Our two beds had plenty of space between them but were pushed very close to the walls on the outside so the suitcases cannot be tucked there. Fine for us as we only had one big suitcase and it fit in the closet. Bathroom: - Bathroom is small - as deep as the tub. Certainly adequate but not spacious. - They made an adorable fan with the tissues and cute little knots with the TP. Towels were made into fans, etc. - Nice countertop - There was a scale! Which I refused to step on but nice addition for someone who wants it! - Hawaiian Tropics toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and bar soap). - There is a LIGHT UP pull-out mirror from the wall - LOVE THIS for putting on makeup! - The shower drained well but didn't have terrific water pressure (seemed better coming from tub faucet so wonder if this is hard water buildup in the shower head). The water, however, was dangerous. When taking a shower, the water would go from the comfortable warm I chose to ice cold and then to scalding hot. I worried about putting my kids in there to wash their hair! That happened a couple of times but other times it was totally even and fine. Guessing it depends on what time you’re using it and what’s going on in the units surrounding you. - Really glad we opted for a room with some outside space! Balcony is about 5 feet deep and 12 feet long? (I'm totally guessing!) It's a good size. One lounger and one chair out there with lots of room between them. It'd be really nice to have another chair and a small table out there. We found one completely loose baluster (the up/down wood on the balcony railing) and a few loose at the top railing. We mentioned to the front desk and they expressed concern. Told them we'd warned our daughters but we wanted them to know about it. (Our daughter was leaning up against the balusters the night before, which is why we checked. EEK.) It wasn’t addressed while we were out that day (we were in no way insistent and told them our girls had been warned but since a small child could fall off this balcony I figured they’d be all over it that same day since it’s an easy fix) so I mentioned it again the next morning when we checked out. Hopefully they fixed it (and checked others!). Location - Excellent! I timed a 4 minute walk to get to the crossing into Disneyland. After that it depends on how long you wait for the light but you're on your way in when you cross the street. - Walgreens and CVS are a 4 minute walk to the south. CVS definitely sells more food. Both had alcohol for sale (including hard liquor). CVS's prices are better and they're better than the liquor store mentioned next! - There is a little strip-mall type of place with a liquor store within the same block (to the south, head toward the Walgreens). I cannot comment on ALL liquor but Captain Morgan was $4 less for 750mL at CVS than here! - Several places to eat nearby - McDonalds up a block or so, Pizza Press in the hotel, Dennys, IHOP, other hotel's restaurants, etc. The Anaheim Garden walk is around the corner and has several well-known restaurants. Of course, Downtown Disney is nearby as well and you don't need a park ticket to enter (but they do search bags as you enter the general area). Gift Shop There's a decent sized gift shop in the hotel. Several of the souvenirs are also sold at Walgreens and CVS for a hefty discount. (I noted one small Minnie purse that was $8.99 at Walgreens & CVS and is $14.99 here, which was the same as other hotel gift shops I wandered through.) There's a little frozen case for ice cream treats in the gift shop. Pool Quite big compared to some other hotels. There is a hot tub as well. We were here for a short stay so focused on Disneyland and didn’t get to use the pool, much to my girls’ disappointment! Grounds The grounds are very well-kept. There is a beautiful patio area after you pass through the lobby and it has menus from the pool bar there. Also a terrace that was empty each time we walked through but was lit up beautifully at night. Assuming it's booked for special occasions. Normally I wouldn't consider a near-Disney hotel for something like this but this place I for sure would book a swanky-ish event on that terrace! Staff Interactions were all very positive, staff is friendly and attentive. Bell service hangs in the doorway, waiting to help out. Front desk friendly and helpful. The tag on the door says that if the "Room Occupied" tag is out when housekeeping comes around your room will be skipped, to call front desk if issues. I suppose that's fair warning. Our first day we went to Disneyland around 7:45 and came back around 12:30 for naps. Room hadn't been serviced so we didn't have service that day. Second day we were gone from 8:00 to 3:30 and room looked great when we got back. Other Amenities After passing through the lobby toward the pool there is a fitness center (not a ton of stuff in there but definitely enough to get a workout) and a laundry room. I didn't use either so cannot comment on these. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again for a trip to Disneyland.
