Absolutely love it here. The atmosphere is the best. Even if you don't get a savannah view room, there are so many places throughout the resort to see the savannah. Take a night time safari ride on site, roast marshmallows at the fire, play games at the pool. Far more laid back than Jambo. We love it here.

Loved our week stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge Kadani Village. We had a one bedroom suite that was very roomy for a family of 4. The kids each had a foldable bed and a bathroom so parents had a huge bathroom and king bed room for ourselves. My only issue w the resort was the outdated appliances in the villa. The dishwasher was really loud so could only be run while we were gone. The washer and dryer could also use an upgrade. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the needed utensils except a pizza cutter... The pan was also pretty bad as it was not non stick... other that those two tiny things the room was comfortable. We did not pay for a savanna view as it was an extra $500 a night and felt we didn’t even spend that much daylight in the room. If you are planning on spending time in the room then it’s worth it. Otherwise there are plenty of areas where you can see the animals from the lobby, restaurant and around the pool area. All the animal lookouts have a cast member ready to answer questions about the animals... very cool. They pool area is really nice, they have a slide for “big” kids and a tiny slide for babies. As always life guards are on top of things and they had pool entertainment for all to enjoy. They also have a restaurant/bar near by. They fitness center a also very nice. They have an underground self parking area that worked really nice as we drove to all the parks. Not sure how the busses were running as we avoided them due to covid. Because of covid we didn’t venture out around the resort as everything was closed but we would definitely consider staying again. Felt really safe given the pandemic times; our room was not cleaned during the 6 days we were there they only came by to replace towels and take trash half way through our stay.... we were okay with that. I’m sure you could request more cleaning? But not sure.

We are DVC members and used points for our stay. We asked to be near an elevator and the lobby and our room was. Disney does not guarantee your requests. Our stay started on a Friday and we left on a Tuesday. The last few days of our stay the hallway smelled very bad. Like sewage. They deodorized the hall way which helped. Our room was a Savannah view room which was great. We loved watching the animals. Check In - Went well, but “due to our more vigorous cleaning procedures”, our check-in was delayed until 5:00pm Bell Services- check-in: we didn’t give our bags to the bellman for storage because we have often seen other folks’ bags on unattended carts where there are accessible to the public & theft would be possible. Our check-in was delayed so we kept our bags in the car until room was ready. The bellman in the lobby driveway took our bags and they arrived in the room promptly. Bell Services- check-out: TERRIBLE. We called for a bell person to pick up our bags (we had more than we wanted to carry ourselves) at 10:20am. Hubby went to get the car and sat in front of the entrance for 55 minutes (yes, close to an HOUR) waiting for me and the bags to show up. He questioned the supervisor at 10:35am about why it was taking so long and was told, “they are doing other things but when they’re done you’re next in line.” At 11:15 hubby was ready to get a cart and come get the bags himself. Bellman showed up at the same time. Next time we will make a couple trips to the car and schlep our own bags and keep the tip money. Room Service - didn’t use Restaurant(s) - Sanaa (we picked up food) Food quality - very good Temperature - fine Service - good Note: They didn’t charge a service charge or gratuity and there was no way to include a tip as part of the ordering process. Maybe this was to encourage people to use the My Disney Experience app to order. Beds - Sheets - very good Pillows - good Comfort - very good Mattress - very good Nightstand (s) - two Master Bath room Number of sinks - one Water pressure - very good Hot water - good Products - good Counter Space - adequate Magnifying mirror - yes Shower - yes Tub - spa tub Towels - good Hair Dryer - adequate Second Bathroom One sink, tub/shower combination, no hair dryer in this bathroom Very low water pressure in the shower. Staff - very nice Electronics - flat screen TV’s in both main area and bedroom Housekeeping - The usual DVC drill. Trash pickup each day. Towels on Day 4. Entertainment - It’s Disney! Room - Size - good Table - table with bench and 2 chairs In room coffee maker - yes Make up area - there is a desk in the bedroom Closet space - fine Air conditioning - good Furniture - Bedroom: King bed, 2 nightstands, dresser, desk w/chair, overstuffed chair. Main Area: Queen sofa bed, single chair sofa bed, table with bench and 2 chairs, 2 stools at kitchen counter Safe - Yes Mini Bar - No WiFi - Yes, but was not very fast and frequently didn’t work well. Streaming video was subject to stalling about 2 or 3 times an hour, more during peak demand times. Disney really needs to upgrade their Internet and WiFi connectivity. Special Requests - Room location request was honored. Refrigerator - Full size w/ice trays. Microwave - Yes Toaster - 2 slice Full Length Mirror - Yes, in master bathroom Luggage Storage - We found some space in the room Ice Machine - Ice available a short distance down the hall near the elevator. Pool - Yes. Not crowded, Social distancing was easy to accomplish. Chairs - yes Hot Tub - yes Pets - No Beach - No Bars - In Sanaa Restaurant Bugs/ Creatures - didn’t see any Front Desk - were fine Parking - Under the building which is nice as you can park near your room location Excursions - It’s Disney! Lots to do.

Great Savannah views but terrible noises from the animals in the adjoining unit.

I was a DVC member for 17 years and enjoyed my prior visits to Kidani. I booked an 11 night stay in a Savannah view studio, looking for some quiet time on the balcony watching the animals. While I loved the location of my room, I was placed in a lock off unit, which means there is an adjoining door to the one bedroom unit next to me. What I didn’t count on was that my neighbors had a teenage boy who spewed profanity at the top of his lungs at all hours of the day and night. When I called the front desk for help, nothing was done. I was told that quiet hours start at 11. While I understand unavoidable noise, this kid and his parents were beyond the pale. I called the front desk twice the first night and once the second night. Nothing was ever done. When those neighbors left, they were replaced with a couple who had an infant and a toddler. I believe they put the infant’s crib directly in front of the lock off door then either left their room or retreated into their bedroom, leaving the infant to scream from 7:30 pm until midnight. No one ever responded to me knocking on the door. When I called the front desk, nothing was ever done even though they felt a safety check for the child was in order. Two nights before my departure, I was told I could move to another room but since it was 10:30 at night, I had been there nine days and I have a bad leg, I thought this was unacceptable. Lesson learned is to never stay at a Kidani, particularly in a lock off unit. I was exhausted from my drive down there and was exhausted when I left. I often got contradictory information from the front desk. I asked where the laundry was and I was told it was by the gym at the pool. It was not. Ordinarily, misdirection is not a big issue but I have a bad leg and the extra steps were painful. Also, I called and asked if I could have a package delivered to the room via UPS. I was told yes for a $6.00 fee. When I was alerted the package arrived, I called and asked if I could come get the package. I was told I had to wait in the room for it. Later, when it didn’t arrive, I was told they didn’t have staff to deliver, so I ended up getting it myself, which I offered to do in the first place. On the positive side, the place was immaculate. Kudos to the housekeeping team throughout my stay and who returned an eye medication I accidentally left behind. Also the lifeguards made sure we all understood the sanitizing routine for the chairs at the pool and reminded guests to keep their masks on when walking at the pool. The lifeguards and attendants and the pool were cheerful and gracious to their guests, even when enforcing mask and spacing rules to guests and most guests were compliant. The pool and hot tubs were immaculate and at times I had the pool to myself. The ladies at the Kidani pool bar were excellent mixologists, great conversationalists and overall nice people. Food service is limited here. My trip was last minute so I made reservations on the fly and never got into Sana’a. I was grateful to have my car and often drove to the Polynesian, Grand Floridian and Beach Club to frequent the restaurants there. Kudos to Mr. Quan at the Grand Floridian Café who was so kind to me and offered excellent service. I am a bit technologically challenged but I found their app system worked pretty well. I also went to Costco in Orlando to stock up on sodas and supplies. The gift shop is also very tiny with limited offerings far below the other resorts. The large gift shop at the AK Lodge was closed when I was there. Parking was a breeze and I appreciated the hand sanitizer stations near the elevators. The room had a microwave and Small refrigerator With freezer section, which was invaluable.

Our second time here, first was a second floor studio and this time was a 5th floor studio. We much preferred the lower floor and saw many more animals a year ago than this trip but I know they come and go as they please so it’s not a deal breaker. Great size room with nice small fridge and microwave that is such a great Thing to have. Bathroom is big and multiple people can get ready at once. We rent DVC points and works great. Hotel itself is very clean and the elevators work plenty fast ALWAYS. We have stayed at Boardwalk and their elevators are horrible and slow. Friendly staff and makes us feel welcome. Wish there was a quick service food option at Kidani but door dash and Uber eats were our friend. I’d put it at 4.5 stars and a great option for the fancier side of Disney hotels.
