As a convention hotel it's huuuge. The new Grand Destino Tower is where we stayed & it's very pretty, but the rooms aren't carpeted & the doors are heavy & noisy. Big bangs & lotsa noise thru the walls & halls, heater comes on w/loud thump. Bed is so high it's hard to get into, mattress sl lumpy. No Disney motif in rooms, but ours did have gorgeous view of Lago (lake) Dorado. Glad it had a coffeepot, lol. For many cast mbrs English was their 2nd language, & they struggled to understand. Need signs by front desk to better direct peeps which line to get into, many found it very confusing. Best points were the beauuutiful C'mas lights/decorations & the staff at Toledo Restaurant upstairs, but that's a separate review. :)

Booked an overnight stay at Coronado Springs to chill out after the D-Lights tour. This is stand-out the worst experience we have had of any Disney hotel - and we have stayed in many now. We arrived late for check-in around 11:00pm after the tour finished. There were 6 in the party spread out over 3 rooms and including a disabled lady who needed a wheelchair to travel any distance. We were told that we would have valet parking due to the disabled guest. We pulled up outside reception and the valet parking was confirmed so we took everything and everyone out of the large van we were using. On checking in it transpired that were going to be staying in separate buildings. No offer of transport from the valet so everything and everyone went back into the van. Not sure how many buildings there are on that campus but the scale is not human. The couple including the disabled lady were in Building #5. That was around ONE MILE from the Reception. Completely impractical - how was access back to the main building expected to be managed? The other two rooms were in Building #7B which was a FURTHER HALF MILE away! The buildings themselves are like rat mazes with the room numbering unintelligible. One couple managed to access their room OK using the Magic Bands. My wife and I eventually found our room but the Magic Bands did not work despite being assured they would by Reception. With massive good luck we could use the in-room phone of the other couple in our building to contact Reception. Apparently their systems could not set up access remotely. They sent a 'runner' to sort it out. Daniel the runner was excellent. He took our Magic Bands away to see what he could do. Apparently he did not have the equipment/access/authority to correct the problem himself but he managed to contact a supervisor and between the two of them they managed to get ONE Magic Band working. At that point that was all we wanted as it was well after midnight and we just wanted to get into our room. The rooms themselves are very good indeed. Then we were knocked up by housekeeping at 8:40am to see when we were leaving! Would never recommend this hotel.

We stayed in the resort for couple days. I love everything about it. The restaurants in the resort offer extra convenience as we don't have to worry going outside for food. The pool is great. The new hotel is very beautiful, unfortunately, we did not book a room in the new hotel. I will definitely stay there one day.

This resort was one that our family havent tried so we decided to give it a shot for a spontaneous family vacation. Boy were we shocked. Theres absolutely nothing Disney about it besides the name. We were stuck in casitas complex so it wasnt even the main building. It was so far like a cast away step child. It took us half an hour just to find the room. Theres nobody there to help or assist. I called the front desk twice for 2 different things. Not only did they not know the answers, they gave me the wrong answers. The staff is unknowledgeable, rude, and can care less. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else.

Resort was great. Good restaurants for meal plans. Staff was excellent and very helpful with check-in and check-out process. We stayed in the Ranchos area. All rooms close to transportation to all of Disney’s parks.
