With the spring months discount, we only paid $117/night for our standard, queen room. The rooms have been renovated recently, bathroom was spotless, linens were comfortable and the pillows were actually really comfortable for a hotel bed. The pool had so much space and chairs available, and was not a far walk from our room in the Toy Story building. The "contactless" check-in process was super simple and we only had to download the Disney app (which we already had for the parks). For what we paid for and were expecting when we selected a BUDGET/VALUE Disney resort hotel, this was a great stay and met our expectations. Don't choose this one if you're expecting a luxury resort. However, this is a wonderful, comfortable, clean stay with a buffet where you can eat a delicious breakfast (not complimentary, but good). We also had free transportation to and from the airport, as well as to every Disney park which was such a good added bonus.

This is our second stay at all stars - 1st was at sports and just recently we were at movies. Cost was a big factor in picking a hotel along with amenities. I just can't say enough good things about all star movies resort. 1st the location - great proximity to the parks and free transportation via buses to the parks. With covid still in effect at this time, there was a longer wait as they only could have a certain amount of families on the buses, but I think compensated by having more buses running. We personally did not have more than a 20 min wait. 2nd - the theme - super fun and just visually stimulating with all the decorated movies themes from top to bottom of the resort. We stayed in the toy story building and just loved seeing woody, buzz, and all the other characters in the front. 3rd - amenities- this time around we really utilized the on site food court, mobile ordering ahead of time was super easy and convenient via the disney app and we loved the wide selection of food. Being dairy free, I had plenty of choices to choose from without feeling deprived. Also on site are 2 pools (that we saw), a playground, movie area, on site gift shop (which had soo many awesome gifts and snacks/drinks) and much more (like pool bar) we saw but did not utilize. 4th - the room - newly renovated, we were thrilled to see the hardwood floors and my son was just wowed over the Murphy bed. The beds were soft and plush and everything was sleek and modern. Microwaves are available (not in rooms as standard feature - must request one and hotel will provide, if one is available). Mini fridge, coffee maker, iron/board, hair dryer, safe are all in room. Of course, not all things are perfect - there were a few small things we would change if we could - i think before the renovation, the mini fridge was a bit bigger... we weren't able to fit all we wanted in the fridge,, but we made it work. The comforter on the bed couldve been a touch softer/thicker. My son was a bit bummed as his pool float tube was not allowed in the main pool area, but he had fun regardless. Overall, we just loved our stay at Disney all star movies, it has everything one needs to feel like they are being spoiled and swept away to a magical place for ones stay. We def plan on returning

The room was small but kids loved the atmosphere around the park. We wish for more water features vs a basic pool. There is no microwave and fridge was tiny so could not keep pricey leftover food to reheat later. If we were to go back we would not stay at this location with a family due to room being very small and missing features we like in a room.

The water stopped working while I was giving my kids a bath on the 2nd day we arrived. We had to relocate rooms from one building to another that was not close by and pack/unpack again. We missed our dining reservation and did not get to utilize our pass to the park. Do not waste your time or money staying at this Zombie resort. They do not clean your room let alone let alone refill the shampoo or conditioner. I had to ask numerous times and they gave me a plastic cup of it instead. Housekeeping barged in even with your Do not disturb sign on your door and WITHOUT knocking at 7AM! Food court cancelled our food order a few times for some weird reason because you can only order through your mobile phone. You have to wait outside in a small hallway where it got crowded. The shuttle is a waste of time since they can only take a few people due to Covid. We waited at least an hour to 2 hours that we decided to take Lyft instead and wasted our $ for a service that is included during your stay. I would never stay at this resort again. The manager was rude and the employees lack professionalism. At one point a security guard almost my kids with their golf cart. It also took 30 minutes to order drinks outside by the pool with only one employee helping a long line. The magic is lost in Disney. Do not COME!!! It was a nightmare and I wont be back with my family.

Great Time at All Star Movies

We arrived in Orlando and after picking up our luggage from baggage claim, hopped on the Disney Magical Express. Be prepared to stand in line and possibly wait a while to check into the shuttle, and then for an additional wait for the shuttle to your specific resort. We lucked out as our shuttle was loading just as we got to our line. All Star Movies was the first stop on our ride (that may vary), and was about 30 minutes from the airport. All in all, this shuttle is convenient and recommended - especially if you don’t intend to rent a car during your stay. Check in at the resort was a breeze. If you don’t already have your Magic Bands, which we didn’t, there are several reps in the lobby ready and waiting to help arriving parties. We checked in and had a room at the Toy Story end of the resort. We got a standard room, and it was very small. But it had everything we needed, and we were only going to be there to sleep most days, so it was fine. If you plans to spend time in your room - even just a day or two - and you have 4+ in your family, you may want to consider an upgrade from a standard if that fits your budget. The standard room came with a Murphy bed (which doubles as a dining table when stowed), mini fridge, vanity mirror, a small closet, and the standard dresser. We didn’t have park tickets for the day we arrived, so we hit the main pool. The resort has two pools. We only swam in the main pool outside the lobby. The pool is clean, has several water safety personnel, and is a saline pool so eyes don’t get burned. The resort offers free poolside games at scheduled times, where winners receive small prizes. Take a few minutes to walk the resort. The different towers are all movie themed, and have big character statues in front of them, fun for pictures. Toy Story had a large Buzz and Woody, there was a 101 Dalmatians tower, Fantasia, and a couple other classics that slipped my mind. Some other amenities around the resort are a jogging trail, free ping pong, a movie pavilion (free nightly movie), a Disney Store, and a restaurant. There are other amenities but those were closed during our stay. The shuttles from the resort to the parks and to Disney Springs are convenient. The closest park to the resort is Animal Kingdom. If you think you’re going to go back and forth from hotel to park a couple of times throughout the day, just know that it’s not a quick process. Aside from the walk from inside the park to the bus, the ride itself takes you a few minutes. If you want to go from any of the theme parks to Disney Springs, jump on the shuttle to the Saratoga Springs Resort because it’s just a 5-10 minute walk along the water to Disney Springs. Don’t go thru the trouble of going back to All Star Movies first, if you can avoid it. We checked out on a day when we had park tickets. We called the bell desk as we were leaving to the park, and a bellman showed up at our door right away to pick up our bags and hold them for us while we spent the day at the park. They said they’ll hold our bags as long as we want, no time limit. So take advantage of this if you can use it. We had a great time. We got a great deal on this hotel using the SPRING21 promo code. We’d definitely stay here again.
