    Terrible Hotel

    This was the worst hotel experience ever. The lady at check-in was rude. The first room we were assigned had a terrible smell and we asked to change rooms. The same lady was rude to my husband when he told her there was an odor coming from the room but finally gave us a different room. In the other room, there were stains on the pillows, the water coming out of one of the taps looked dirty, the time on the clock still had not even been changed. The remote control for the tv looked like it hadn't been cleaned in years. I opened one of the bar soaps and there was a hair stuck in it. Our kids were exhausted and in an effort to make the best of it, we stayed in the room. We thought taking the kids to the pool would be a good idea. The pool area was a mess. There were zero towels. We were told it would be 15 minutes. An hour later there were still no towels. We had to use the towels from our room. The lady at the pool bar was very rude to my husband when he asked some general questions. The pool was ice cold. I mean freezing. The jacuzzi water was yellow and filthy. The chairs poolside were dirty and ripping apart. There was no life guard around. Total disarray at the pool. Overall, zero customer service and just terrible experience. Not what I expected from a Hilton chain and would not recommend to anyone....ever.

    As a Diamond member of Hilton, I stay in Hilton properties roughly 150 nights each year on business. And I travel to Palm Springs a few times each year. This time, we decided to try this Hilton property and was never so disappointed in a resort. It was hard to believe that it was actually a Hilton. The pool area was a mess and the pool chairs and lounges were either falling apart or were broken. There obviously were some parties happening by the pool because there was garbage all over. No maid service due to Covid I presume, which was ok. But after a few days, we needed some new towels and it became a challenge just to get them. I was disappointed in the overall customer service, which to me, was rare, since I've stayed in Hilton properties all around the world. We come to Palm Springs 3-4 times a year and we decided that, after the first night there, we would never come back to this property!

    We arrived for 4pm check in at 4pm, and told our room would not be ready for another 30 to 45 minutes. After an hour I went to check on the status of our room and was told it would be a minimum of another hour wait if not longer. I asked if they were any rooms available at that time and the woman at the front desk said I could downgrade our original room to get a room that was ready. I was told I would be refunded $50 of the original booking price but when I looked at how much I was charged I was only refunded $10. Upon entering the room we noticed the patio door was left open, the tables had stains on them, some of the surfaces in the room were sticky, and there was trash on the floor. We also noticed above the sinks on the wall there was splatter of what appeared to be blood!!!! It was clear the room was not upholding the promises made by Hilton to be “committed to clean” during coronavirus. Upon speaking with the manager we were told they would comp our night stay. We appreciated that offer, however the manager was less than friendly during our conversation.

    Pool Cold, I mean an ice cube. Hotel very under staffed. No restaurants open. Spa was green.

    The hotel was really understaffed, they blamed things on Covid, but they were at full occupancy. The pool was ice cold sub 55°. One of the spas was green and the grounds weren’t really being taken care of. The restaurants were closed

    Extremely poor service! We went to Palm Springs, out for a two day vacation, the first time we have been anywhere so it’s a global pandemic struck. Our check-in time was for 4 PM; we did not get a room until approximately 630. We waited at the bar for the 2 1/2 hours that it took for our room to be ready, and although we were supposed to get a call telling us when the room was ready, it took me walking to the front desk to ask for the room to finally be available. Inside the room, it was obvious that deep cleaning had Not been done. Large stains on the comforters, cigarette butts on the patio. Will not be staying here ever again!
