A Good Option in Buckman

88samantha (Minneapolis, Minnesota) on Mar 31, 2024

This hotel is in a fun neighborhood, trendy and has a great hotel bar and restaurant. The rooms are OK, the biggest thing to note is it is loud in the hotel. You can hear everything going on outside, next door, in the hallway, etc. There is a lot of random white noise - fans, water running through pipes, etc. I'd recommend bringing ear plugs!

Great Location, Great for Parties

T4419OX (Roseburg, Oregon) on Mar 25, 2024

The parking situation is the biggest drawback with this hotel. We arrived at 6:30pm on a Friday night. The hotel zone out front only holds two cars, so it was full. The front desk is very helpful about directing guests to alternative parking options when their two lots are full, but finding a place to park before speaking with them when the hotel zone is full is difficult. All the parking options are over a block away so it is challenging to walk all that way with luggage and needing to make multiple trips. The price of the alternative parking lots nearby are cheaper than the hotel options, so it worked out okay. We had no trouble with our cars and the lots seemed secure. Hey Love had a great atmosphere. The bar is beautiful and super trendy. We wish there were more food options, but what we did order was great. They had a live DJ, which was a nice touch. The hotel is less than a mile from a bunch of great entertainment options and tourist attractions. Our room was good. Definitely beware of the glass shower wall. Your fellow guests will be able to see your outline… or everything, depending on how close you stand to the glass. Overall, a good stay, especially because of the location and aesthetics of the hotel. I would definitely recommend this as a place to stay with friends or a romantic getaway.

Thank you for the stay - Adam and Lisa Foltz

Enjoyed our stay and appreciate having the access to the restaurant and bar. The parking lot worked out well and seemed secure. Also appreciated the late check out to allow for the business meetings to finish. One tip - an option for coffee in the room with a dark roast. It was a great stay and will stay again for future trips to Portland.

Wouldn't Honor My Confirmed Reservation

Kathy C on Mar 20, 2024

I didn't even get a chance to stay there. My daughter is getting married at the original Jupiter in September. On December 10th, 2023 I booked a room for September of 2024 and received a confirmation that it was all set. Over 3 months later, on March 20th, 2024, I received a phone call that they over-booked and my reservation was no longer valid. I tried explaining that I am the mother of the bride, but Eden (the gal who called me) wouldn't give me a break. She recommended I get a room at the Original Jupiter. Now why would I give them a dime of my money and stay at their other hotel (really a motel) when they don't stand behind their booking confirmations? I would never recommend the hotel to anyone. I would only recommend staying away. In reality they made a commitment to me and then 3 months later backed out of that commitment.

great spot except for the noise bleed

Ambassador310496 on Mar 20, 2024

was great, although I think donuts and coffee should both be complimentary. charging me three dollars for a small donut seemed like nickel and diming. and that issue with noise coming from other guest sure kept me from a good night's sleep.
