    Not the best service, food and experience, still feel scammed....

    My husband and I decided to spend our first year ayversary in DR, we found a good deal at Gustazos online page and decided to duy it. The hotel it's located in what I consider location gold;25 min away from the airport and a beautiful beach. We arrived at 9pm approx, we were greated by a very friendly front desk staff, we were not offered any welcome drinks, which I thought it was kinda off because other hotels in the area, no matter the check in time we were offered a welcome drink. While the check in process was happening, the front desk employee offered us to upgrade to the Impressive premium package which included -exclusive consierge (never used it) -ptivate pool and private beach area (pool had no bar and private beach area was no different from the "non exclusive area") -premium buffet salon in which you can get premium brinks ( the buffet (if you can call it that) was always cold and if you did not get there early enough you would end up Whit the scraps the other premium guests left). -free room service from 7:30am-10:30pm ( we tryed to order lunch on our last day at 11:30am and they said that room service was not going to be available until 12:30pm). - piriority on the coordination of restaurant reservation (on Sunday morning we were supposed to go on a schedule trip at 7:30am so we we seak the help from one of our private consierge so that he could make the reservation for us, he told us just to give him the room number,at what time we wanted the reservation and the name on which the reservation was going to be made, and told us to come back after we arrived from the trip to confirm the details. At approximately 6pm we came back and when we tried to confirm the reservation the same exact consierge told us that the restaurant was full and that the reservation could not be made; my husband ask how was that posible because we came in at 7am to made the reservation on time, after that the employee just started to search in the computer and told us that he mistakenly gave us the wrong information and that infact the restaurant reservation was made. Later that night when we arrived at the restaurant we were surprised to find out that the reservation was never made, even though we hade a "confirmation" from the consierge (he lied), they had to add us on the list and let us in( did I said we were celebrating our first wedding anniversary that night?)... -exclusive use of the premium lounge (it was ok) -exclusive amenities (I still don't know what they were...) -free wifi in the room and common areas( the wifi was great tho) -free hidro therapy at the spa (now that was great, SPA staff was very professional and kind ) -also we would get upgraded to the premium rooms in which were much closer to the beach and had a jacuzzi ( our room was not beach front but that was disclosed previously at the front desk. The room was not what we expected at all, it had to twin beds instead of one, air conditioner was off, the room was not at a pleasant temperature and there was the remaining memory of a hole in the wall which was poorly fixed. Hey but the jacuzzi was dope -_-.... For all those exclusive extras that the regular guest did not had we were charged $150 us dollars, witch at the time we both thought it sound very pleasant and cheap. But looking back it's definitely not worth it.... Restaurants: as I mention before they always manage to serve the food cold and Whit the less amount of seasoning as possible ( a new record if u ask me, considering we are In a island were people are used to use lots of different spice and condiments. But I know maybe it's me.. Pools, beach common areas: I have to give it to them, common areas were always clean considering guest were leaving glasses and plates every were. House keeping: they were way to inconsistent on the restocking of the mini bar and coffee and sugar station which that by the second day was just annoying. Staff: friendly and carring staff but that all ended at the front desk, every body else looked like they eather hated their job, was tired, or annoyed of your questions. Even the dance crew at the dance activities looked awful ??. Also my husband ordered a wine bottle to be left at our room, we are still waiting for it...(we were not charge for it) Drinks: I will just say that my husband ordered a Pi~a colada and the hotel should renamed to Diabetes juice Whit sugar... In conclusion, if you find a good very cheap deal for this hotel common over and spend your vacation days on excursions and enjoying DR. This hotel just has a very serious problem of consistent customer service, consistant food and drink execution and presentation. OH! And do not buy the Premium upgrade, it's definitely not worth it... -

    I don’t usually leave reviews but the staff here are exceptional and their concept of helpfulness goes way beyond the normal call of duty. Gilberto and Yantza really are standout human beings and not just any hotel, any international consulate would be lucky to have them working for them. Their level of patience and solicitude really sets this place apart. Michael A

    Book for 2 weeks end august beginning of september. First time in Punta Cana ( Beach Bavaro). Hotel seems to be bought 3 months before by Mexican company Royal resorts. It is a beatiful landscape inside, well maintain, having a section Premium and regular section. 600U$ upgrade for a 2 weeks for premium, bigger rooms having nice ocean view. Even if you are on premium section, unless you complain it will happen that beer is not offered in the fridge on dayily base. Otherwise room service is not bad. Speaking about beach, looks like a worst part of the beautiful Bavaro beach. Piping is directly on this part of the sea, so in the morning or during a day you can see a not so good color of the sea, and I don't recommend to swim during this period. On the right or left side you can walk on the beach and swim and enjoy the real sea and beaches. Food is good, there is a principal buffet and for those who prefered stay at beach there are pizza near the beach. Since it is a low season some of the restaurant was not opened on regular base, or main restaurant was close without notice in the evenning. Drink is offered on 2 bar near the beach, as well as in the premium bar and on main loby. Favorite dominican drink Mama Huanna is not available on all places. For those who likes it, it is available as aperitive in the main restaurant (tip is welcome to have it). GOing to Santo Domingo is not something to recommend. 5 + hours on the road, quick visit to cathedrale and old town, shooping and then go back. Looks that Sauna iland is a must. Local companies organise the same trips at lower cost. Going outside a hotel is a must, but durring a daylight. All in all we enjoed a trip.

    Found the hotel to be wonderful... I have been to DR 3 times now and I have to say... each time I visit, I have always had a great time. Room was large' air=conditioning was fabulous, food was great, plenty of choice for all. The staff work so hard to make sure you have everything you need and went the extra mile to ensure your happiness. The Entertainment staff (Salami, Sexy, Candy) were brilliant and the entertainment was very good. Bar staff, inparticular Junior were also great and the drinks available were good quality. The hotel was always putting on different ways to dine such as setting all tables, chairs and large buffet and bar b q on the beach one evening with fireworks... beautiful. One thing I feel I must say... it is NOT safe to go out of resort in the evenings despite the staff and holiday reps telling you it is... it most certainly is not.

    We were on vacation the 2 first weeks of August 2019. The place was great and the food was very good too. The buffet restaurant was nice and we must mention the waitresses Carmen, Yany, Yeimi and at night Julissa. They were so nice to us and the service was perfect. Also a special mention to Nutella, who was working outside for the daily events, she was so nice to us and asking if everything was ok. Thanks to your staff. Would go back anytime. Gracias para todo.
