My second time here, and it won’t be the last time
JasonManikel (Toronto, Canada) on Mar 19, 2024
I stayed here three nights on a quick trip to Vancouver. I’d been once before and enjoyed it. My return didn’t disappoint. The location is great - very central - and the rooms are very nice. Staff are friendly, and the place is clean. It was just what I needed, for a very reasonable price - off season, at least. I’ll definitely stay here again.
Spacious, comfortable and clean in great location

Very spacious and comfortable room with balcony and great views. Clean. Roomy shower and good bench space in bathroom. Large TV. Good size desk and separate coffee station with small fridge. Great to to have the Abode cafe downstairs opening at 6:30am for breakfast. Flexible check in and check out options and good parking. Good central location. Fast lift. Will definitely be our place to stay when in Vancouver again.
Convenient, modern and great location

My first time to stay here. I chose it because of the price and location, right on Robson Street. Very easy checkin and checkout process. Room was amply large and bathroom was a bit tiny but did like the walk in shower. I even had a nice warm cozy robe and one could request slippers. There’s a nespresso machine too. No lack of bakeries and restaurants nearby so one won’t go hungry. I’d definitely consider staying here again!
Great place for both business and pleasure, especially for extended stays

I recently stayed at the Blue Horizon Hotel, for 11 days in late January 2024. I have stayed at the Blue Horizon, dozens of times since the late 1990’s principally for business. The west-central location is excellent for both business people and tourists as it is an easy walk to downtown, the convention center, Coal Harbor, the West End, as well as Stanley Park. It also is a short walk to two different SkyTrain stations, including the SkyTrain Canada Line which takes you directly to the airport. Nearby are good restaurants at all price levels, as well as a bank, a great local coffee place, a 24-hour bakery with food/coffee/tea, a drug store, a BC liqueur store, and a grocery store. Pretty much everything you need for an extended stay. The hotel setup is a bit unique. There are only 8 rooms per floor, and all rooms are corner rooms with lots of windows and a balcony. The bathrooms are small, but a remodel a few years back utilized the space they had very well and makes them feel more spacious than they are. The rooms include a good size closet, a small safe, a small refrigerator, coffee maker and a hot water pot for tea. One reason I keep coming back is the staff. They are great and straightforward to deal with. As an example, this last visit I had an issue with the heating system after I returned to my room after 9 pm. I contacted the front desk and 5 minutes later the night maintenance manager was at my room door. He addressed the problem and had it fixed within a few minutes. I will keep coming back when I need a place in Vancouver.
madonna concert night

room was cozy. The front desk staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Had to call room service twice and they were also super friendly and helpful. Great place to stay in downtown Vancouver and reasonably priced next time. I can’t wait to bring my bathing suit and use their swimming pool, I wish I had brought it this time. However, I was downtown to go see Madonna with my sister, so swimming will wait till next time.
