Service Advisory: Canada Post Labour Disruption
Canada Post has resumed operations; however, rotating strikes may delay delivery of physical gift card orders.
As an alternative, you may opt to purchase an e-gift card.
- Gift cards available in denominations from $25–$5,000 CAD.
- Bulk order limit: $150,000 CAD per cart.
- Single order limit: $10,000 CAD per cart.
- Pay with Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Diners Club or Discover.
- One payment card per bulk order.
- All purchases are in Canadian dollars (redeemable worldwide; FX rates apply).
- Plastic cards: Shipped by FedEx Ground to one Canadian address within 5–7 business days (shipping fee applies).
- eGift cards: Delivered instantly to multiple email addresses (CSV upload) or via corporate systems (XLS file).
- Plastic cards: Activate through the “History” tab in your portal account before distributing.
- eGift cards: Activated automatically after payment and fraud screening.
- Orders are non-refundable once placed.
- Add a carrier and envelope for $0.25 per card.
- Personal messages are the same across all cards in a bulk order.
- Plastic gift cards cannot be shipped outside Canada; eGift cards can be sent to any email address.
- WestJet gift cards never expire.
- For contests, promotions, or prizing, approval is required from your WestJet sales representative.
- Plastic cards: Gift card number and access code are on the back.
- eGift cards: Access details through the secure link in your gift card email.
- Plastic cards (bulk orders): Activate before distribution.
- Sign in to the Gift Card Portal → go to History → select your Order ID → click the wand icon to activate.
- Order status will update to “order processed” when complete.
- eGift cards: Activated automatically once payment and security checks are complete.

- With your travel agent

Not eligible for:
- Baggage, change, or cancellation fees

- Group bookings
- Food, drinks, or Wi-Fi onboard
- Cargo, travel insurance, car rentals, or hotel bookings
- Purchases made through the WestJet Rewards eStore or partner airlines
- One gift card per booking.
- Combine a gift card with a payment card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Diners Club, Discover) if needed.
- Gift cards cannot be combined with Travel Bank credits or WestJet dollars.
- Redeem gift cards in any currency available on westjet.com.
- If redeemed outside Canadian dollars, the value is converted at the current foreign exchange rate.
WestJet gift cards are fully transferable and can be shared with anyone.
- Forgot password? Reset it directly on the Gift Card Portal.
- Forgot username? Your username is the email address used when you created the account.
- Check status: Sign in to the Gift Card Portal and select the History tab.
- Plastic cards: If not delivered within 7 business days, contact us.
- eGift cards: Ask the recipient to check their Junk/Spam folder. If still not received after the expected delivery time, contact us.
- Incorrect address: Contact us to correct delivery details.
Gift cards are treated like cash. WestJet is not responsible for balances on cards that are lost, stolen, damaged, or destroyed.
- Bookings paid with a gift card: Refunds follow the fare rules of your booking.
- Gift card balance: Not refundable or redeemable for cash (except where required by law). Unused balances never expire and can be applied to future travel.
- Gift cards cannot be reloaded.
WestJet points cannot be earned on the purchase of WestJet gift cards. WestJet Rewards members will earn WestJet points on flights booked with a WestJet gift card if the fare purchased is eligible for accrual of WestJet points.
