Bad things only consisted of mini fridge not stocked, no eating around pool (our 3 year old didn't want to leave) and not many buggies! Lovely staff, lovely food, good excursion with sting rays, lovely room, amazing beaches and sports! Highly recommend!

We stayed at the Verandhah from October 13-20. It was the best week ever. Reception was quick. The rooms were spacious and clean. I recommend room 263- close to all amenities. Beaches were beautiful and crystal clear. The water sport staff Carlos was so nice and friendly. Lots of water sports activities for all ages. Restaurant manager Neville went out of his way for us. Sheddy the waiter was so nice and welcoming. We will defiantly visit the Verandah again in the near future.

Just been here for two days now and have mixed feelings. So far the staff have been very attentive and friendly. Some say the surliness of the staff is the Caribbean way. This can be construed as being rude but looking at the way some guests speak to the staff you can understand how they can react. This is our second visit to the Verandah and unfortunately some of the resort is looking a little shabby and could really do with a spruce up. On saying that the rooms are large and the a/c is working well spilling out nice cool air. The shabbiness shows more in the bathroom areas with water damage and clumps of mastic around the shower screen. Other little things are loose plug sockets in the bedroom and ill fitting lock in the room safe.(room 234) The bar area has improved since our last trip and there is now what is advertised as a 24 hour snack bar. This is actually open until midnight and serves teas and coffees with some biscuits and pastries. You can also get a latte or hot chocolate here. The WiFi is also a little erratic, we are only using the free hotspot areas at reception and the main pool. Apparently $10 per day for the room but listening to other guests this can be a little hit and miss. We have booked Nicole’s which is the posh a la carte restaurant but this carries a forty dollar each surcharge, we received this free on our last trip as we came with revisiting friends. No complementaries this year though!

I’m currently sat at the airport after a fab 10 days at The Verandah. I always spend too much time reading reviews so I thought I would write one to help others out who are like me! ?? Anyway here goes: Rooms: Nice and clean and spacious with a lovely view (we had a ‘water view’ room). Typical Caribbean style so some may say needs updating but I had no complaints whatsoever. Food: It was mostly good. Always had great choice and the buffet was well maintained. We ate in the restaurants where we could (except Nicole’s as you had to pay extra to go there and we were happy enough not to go). The food was better in the Buccaneers restaurant compared to the bar and grill in my opinion. Although the bar and grill was nice for a bit of lunch with a view. Note - You aren’t allowed to take food out of the restaurants and they don’t have room service either. Facilities: Both the main beach and the Rasta beach were awesome, white sand clear sea. There are quite a few steps down to the main beach which was fine for us but may not be for others. Plenty of water activities to do and we spent a bit of time on the canoes. We enjoyed the mini golf and the games area too. The resort is well maintained and clean. Staff: Most staff members were so lovely, even going out their way to say hi to us as they passed us. Big shout out to Everett (entertainment team) who was a great laugh always went out of his way to interact with all the guests to make sure we had a good time. Also Edmund the waiter was fantastic. You would get the odd staff member that was a bit off with you but that didn’t bother us. Entertainment: There was lots of activities on during the day and always music entertainment on in the evening which generally finished at 11ish. I believe the bar also closes around that time. All in all we have had a wonderful time and would definitely return to The Verandah.

I had a excellent birthday weekend here. Food, drink and dessert was of a variety. The landscape of the property was beautiful we enjoyed many views from the garden 2 beaches and 2 pools. Friendly staff all around the resort. I would be making an other visit for sure in 2020. Thank you to all at the verandah resort for a memorable birthday.
