Bummer

So much potential... staff is nice, but it’s like being cut by a 1000 paper cuts. Rooms and decor are good/updated, but it’s everything else. No real food or bar/restaurant service so limited on options have to leave the hotel to eat anything basic; it’s weird that no one knows why these quarantined cruise people have access to hotel grounds in a roped off community are they Covid positive or waiting for a test; and the rooms fans are soooo loud it’s hard to sleep; irons and electrical outlets don’t work; no ice machines; and the grab and go has nothing. Only real positive is the price, people otherwise should go elsewhere to an Air BnB or spend more money at a better hotel despite this area with so little occupancy. It’s been a frustrating week with 3 days to go... while on vacation.
Room Phones Inoperable, Menu Items Unavailable, Housekeeping Manager Rude

I transitioned to this hotel from a 4-star hotel for the last 2 days of my trip in Aruba and what a let down. I ordered pizza and was told after the fact that they were out, the phone in the room was inoperable, one bar of soap was left in the room, the 2nd time I went for breakfast at the restaurant I waited roughly 10 minutes for my drink and over 30 minutes for my food despite maybe 5 tables being occupied with like 3+ servers. The worst part was after waiting over 30+ minutes for my food, the potatoes were cold, a fly landed on the wrap within seconds of it arriving to the table and when I refused the meal after all this, the manager tried to charge me for the meal and not my drink (as my drink cost less)! I told her to either charge me for the drink or nothing at all and she told me that she wasn't charging me for anything. But get this, I go to check out shortly thereafter and the Housekeeping Manager insists on charging me for the drink despite the Restaurant Manager having told me that she wasn't charging me for anything! The Housekeeping Manager was rude and conniving and honestly, there are much better places for the same price that you could patronize! THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE! I also saw medical professionals there on the 2 days that I was there in Tyvek suits. I wouldn't be surprised if this place has COVID cases. STAY AWAY!
Nice place

This is a nice hotel. The room was clean. New furniture. Great rain showerhead. Balcony. Breakfast was good and well priced at the restaurant. Shawn and the rest of the staff were helpful and treated us well. The pool area was pretty. We were across the street from the beach. The beach at this end was much less busy than Palm Beach. We would definitely stay here again!

I am a Marriott Elite Member and fly to Aruba every three months. I love to hotel hop and stay at every Marriott in Aruba and honestly I am so glad they turned this hotel into a Marriott. The property is beautiful , the staff is awesome ! I have had the pleasure to meet Albert and Nelson who work at both bars around the pool and always go above and beyond to make sure our needs are fulfilled! The location is amazing , its about a 7 minute walk to /from restaurants, bars & nightlife which is big for me because taxis can get pricey and the rates don't always stay the same.Rooms are SPACIOUS, beds are extremely comfortable I can go on and on about this hotel. I can't wait to go back!

This must be the worst hotel I've ever stayed in my life. To begin with, they're understaffed in the front desk, frequently causing you to wait for 10-15 minutes even for simple requests. Not only that, they let disrespectful people to cut the line, causing stress and generally more waiting time. Sometimes they'll give you vouchers for the continental breakfast, but there's no procedure to handle them: they won't serve you and also you're not supposed to serve yourself. Moreover, they lost most of the clothes I gave them for the laundry: they blamed on the company that actually handles it and they couldn't reached out to them when I complained about it. Not to mention other smaller annoyances that you don't have in any hotel that's up to Marriott standard. In summary, my recommendation is for anybody to stay somewhere else, maybe in RIU, just across the street and beach side. It might be a little more expensive but totally worth it, or you risk completely ruining your vacation experience
