This hotel is amazing. We are from NYC and visited this hotel for the weekend. I wish we would have stayed longer!! The hotel is all inclusive and all the food and drinks were amazing. The service was also great. The rooms were BEAUTIFUL. Absolutely no complaints. Thank you to Olga and Ariel from the bar. Also Julio and Yomelly from the front desk were wonderful and went above and beyond. Best all inclusive / hotel I have ever been too. Will definitely be back.

Incredible Resort with amazing hard working servers to make you feel taken care off.

Service: One of the best service I experienced in a 5 star resort. Our servers at the breakfast buffet (La Consentida), Victor and Oscar are amazing, and the tortilla lady always made sure my son got his cheese tortilla. Even the greeting lady made sure our family felt special as she always seated us to our usual table. Our servers at the pool, near Bikini Azul (Carlos and Abdiel) are like no other. They always made sure our drinks are filled, and even made us a nice platter of nachos with both guacamole and ceviche. At the Italian restaurant (Casa di Luna) we had Angel who was great. In my opinion they all deserved to be mentioned in this post a they went above and beyond to ensure that we had a great stay! Room: Our rooms are kept clean and always stocked up with drinks and treats (cookies & chocolates) In Room food service was amazing, although there was a time it never came when we ordered through the app, so I suggest always order on the phone to make sure. Our room was located on the 3rd floor. No complaints as our view was the pool and golf course. We were also able to see the beach on the side. Amenities: The smoothie bar (Atelier side) was a nice touch, I liked how they also served healthy fruits/snacks there. I think the guys that replenish the towels at the pool day and night deserve a mention as well. What I liked the best is that majority of the staff made an effort to actually make sure we are all having a good time and that we all felt relaxed on our vacation. One of the things they can improve on is the nightly entertainment. I get the feeling its disorganized, although I see some effort by the staff (Katinka, Jorge & Johnny). The older kids (3 & 6 yrs old) enjoyed the puppet night, quiz it game night as well as the bingo night. My kid also enjoyed the planetarium show at Doodle Land. It was scheduled at a later time but they made an effort to set it up early in order for my son to enjoy it! The grill above Bikini Azul is also great especially the made to order steak/seafood, only downside are the mosquitoes but they do make an effort to give you insect spray and also spray the plants.

Stayed here for a total of 7 days with 3 kids (1.5,3,6 years old) and 5 adults. We go yearly on all inclusive and can honestly say that this resort has been the best. The rooms and hotel itself is super clean and has that modern farm house look. Plenty of pool seats and cabanas and the pool was a great temperature. Bikini azul has the best servers ever! Hands up for Carlos and Abdiel. Victor and Oscar from the Italian/breakfast buffet always amazing as well. Quesadilla lady super nice. Doodleland didn’t have as much kids in it but the ppl always had activities for children. There’s not much entertainment at night but if you go as a group it won’t matter. We had shifts to watch the kiddies while a group went to Atelier for dinner. Overall, food is amazing. The only down side is that the pool by el Suspiro closest to the beach was supposedly adults only, online it’s advertised as part of estudio soooo they should def fix that. Also on that note the theatre on adult side should have a time slot nightly for families to watch a show, is. 7-8 family show 8:30-10 adult only. Overall a great experience and def looking into coming back! They honestly have the best aesthetic and finishes.

Beautiful resort with a few downsides - would go again

I spent 2 weeks here with my partner and our children, aged 4 and 6. The pros: -The designers of the hotel outdid themselves - it's beautifully decorated in a modern and trendy style. The room (I believe we stayed in a Jr suite) was impressive with it's moveable walls, large standalone tub, and big shower. We paid extra for ocean view but this was only so-so and I wouldn't do that again. -There are many thoughtful family-friendly touches on the Estudio side such as stepping stools to reach the sinks both in the rooms and in the public washrooms as well as kid-sized slippers. Everything was always immaculately clean. -The kids club had fabulous amenities (including a small planetarium!) and lots of fun activities such as play dough making. There are cool little car strollers and regular strollers that can be borrowed for free. -The pool and beachside loungers and cabanas were plentiful though the resort was significantly under capacity so I don't know what it would be like if there were more guests. -The staff would often erect large inflatable structures that kids could slide down into the pool, and also occasionally a large floating obstacle course within the pool. The kids really enjoyed those features. -The food was all excellent and the sky bar on the adult side is breathtaking (before 5:30pm it is for club members only). There is a good selection of beers and their house wines were tasty. There was chocolate milk for the kids; something I haven't seen much of at other all-inclusives. The coffee shop included a large candy bar - kid heaven! Weirdly though ice cream was often not available. -If spas are your thing, this one was beautiful: I had a great massage (very pricey, as per all resorts) and the hydrotherapy pool is stunning and huge. -The staff were legitimately fun and friendly and not at all pushy; in particular I cannot say enough good things about the entertainment and 'Doodle Club' employees (Eduardo, Luis, Ariel, Daniel, Jorge, Augustin, Itzel, Zuri, Ana, etc. etc.) We were well taken care of by bar and poolside staff such as Wilberth, Carlos, and Abdie; our breakfast waiter Philipe was the most attentive server I have ever had. The cons: -The activity schedule is laughably inaccurate: activities are held in locations different than on the schedule. Worse yet, many activities occur spontaneously that are not on the schedule. Apparently this is by design so that there are fun 'surprises' however it is inefficient and unfair to guests who inadvertently miss out on entertainment and activities they could not know about and worse yet, unfair to entertainers who are sometimes performing for just a handful of people who happened to stumble across it. -The beachfront of the resort is quite small compared to the number of rooms and is a bit of a hike from the children's pool area (they have a golf cart shuttle if you happen across it). -The layout of the resort itself is unintuitive and a bit strange: some hallways end in dead-ends and there are only two connecting points to the adult side, both on level 3, meaning if you want to go to the first floor on the adult side from the first floor on the family side, you have to go up to level 3, then across, then down to level 1 again. -There are noticeably more amenities and activities on the adult side compared to the family side and some activities seem needlessly adult-only. For instance water aerobics only happens in the adult-only pool and the smoothie/juice bar is also on the adult side. One of the pools that is technically on the family/Estudio side was recently converted to an adult-only pool, which added insult to injury. There are more restaurants on the adult side and the theatre is over there as well. Most of the evening entertainment was not open to children, even seemingly family-friendly acts like the circus show. If you are travelling with kids, unless you leave them at the kids club and go alone, there is not much to do in the evenings. -We thought we knew what we were getting into when we agreed to attend a 'vacation advisor' sales pitch however the sales techniques were quite high pressure and we were there for 2.5 hours instead of the promised 90 minutes. I don't think it was worth the $50 USD voucher we received as compensation. -This is not necessarily a critique of the resort itself, but we noticed the mosquitoes are much worse than our previous holidays on the Pacific coast near Puerto Vallarta. They are particularly vicious from 5:30 to 7:30 pm. As 2 of the 4 supper restaurants are outdoors, we often ate much later than we otherwise would have. Overall we had a fabulous time and I don't want the critique to detract from that. I would recommend this resort and would go there again. Thanks for the wonderful holiday Estudio Playa Mujeres!

Came to this resort with a group of 8 adults and 4 kids for 2 nights 3days, spent $3,600 USD for 4 rooms , I was recovering from a surgery and was hoping for a fun family and relaxing at a nice place. The food is good the employees are nice the rooms And common areas are new and tastefully decorated however they have a big areas of opportunity and management better address them soon if they want to stay in business in such a competitive environment. We made the reservation through a local travel agent who sold my sister in law on this hotel promising it would be the best place to enjoy a nice, healing time. Needless to say that travel agent knows our experience and won’t be referring more families to this place. We came to find out this place is treating families with kids as second in place to their “ adult only” section. They recently started banning kids from the one ocean access pool that families used to be able to participate when they opened about 6 months ago . “El Suspiro “is a small but nice restaurant with good seafood poolside and with ocean views, the problem is now although your kids can eat there they are Not allowed to go in the pool since it’s now “ adults only “. So your kids will see adults swimming in front of them getting drunk and they wonder why are they not allowed to have some fun and go in it while they wait for their parents to finish enjoying their meal. Customers who are on the other side of that pool and who stay on the suites close by the pool complained that they could hear the kids having to much fun !!! Lol ! As a family with young kids You are now confined to 1 pool with no view that is all the way in the back of the resort while the “adults only” section has 3 awesome Infiniti pools with ocean views 4 pool bars and 2 ocean front restaurants. You as an adult are allowed to go in as long as your kids stay behind. We decide to check out the kids club and the kids stayed there for a couple of hours while we explored the adults only section . The adult only section areas are Beautiful however please be aware that you could potentially be dealing with adults that have been drinking all day long and can get pretty stubborn and feisty over anything. We visited the adults only area around 3 pm we were looking for a place to sit and most lounge chairs had dirty towels no personal belongings though so we gather a couple of chairs here and there, 30 min go by and a couple made a scene because they had gone for 1.5 hour lunch and they wanted their lounge chairs back ???????? Nothing was there but dirty hotel towels and a sunscreen on a table nearby and we were expected to know that they were at lunch blocking anyone else from the hotel to sit an relax. Their quote was “I’ve been at this chair since 9am I woke up early to come and save it and I wan to back ! “ Wow! How sad and selfish are we as “adults” willing to behave for a chair ??. We left . I would think most people have common sense and if they take a 1.5 hr lunch they would not try to block common shared space. Dear management please know this is NO way to treat families with young kids. What are we teaching the new generations? We come to enjoy the ocean view and pools as much as your “adults only” customers. How do you explain your 3,4 & 6 year that they can eat at the beach/pool restaurant they are not allowed in the pool because they have too much fun and that they have to wait and walk 10-15 min back to the 1 pool where they could go. One last note when we came back to Pick up our kids form the kids club we found them playing war video games with the good when in the schedule it was listed they were supposed to be doing “robotics” oh well ....... There are so many options in Cancun, riviera maya and Isla mujeres etc... that we will not be returning back. We are actually finishing our time in Cancun at the Fairmont Mayakoba for the same amount money as here we know now we will be treated as equals. Hopefully management realizes the mistakes and corrects them. What do your stand for? Choose and then go for it there is potential but don’t try to do it all and fall short everywhere.
