Amazing time at a beautiful place! We encountered Carlos of the Travel Club on our first day and boy are we grateful!!! ?? Carlos helped make our stay extra special! WHATEVER we needed, he took care of. I could go into a long drawn out, day-by-day illustration of his exceptional service, but I'll keep it short...CARLOS IS THE MAN! We cannot say THANK YOU enough for his warm hospitality that was shown during our vacation and his assistance with a transportation mixup on our last day! BTW...the property is beautiful, the food is delicious, and the staff is friendly.

We are members and have been very very happy with everything. The staff could not be better. They all did whatever they could to accommodate you and all your needs. The facility is kept very clean. There are many restaurants to choose from. The beach is right next to the property, easy access . We ate one night at the Portofino restaurant and found the food very good. The waiter was very attentive, his name was Oscar. Could not have been better. Was always near by. Would recommend asking for him if you go to that restaurant. Total experience was very positive. Highly recommended this resort.

We've just arrived home after a fabulous 2 weeks at Grand Palladium, where to start! We enjoyed everything about the place. From welcome cocktails on arrival, to our amazing suite and the wonderful staff. We met a couple of staff during our stay that stood out from the rest Larry Rodriguez in Poseidon beach restaurant who was friendly,chatty-helping us learn the language and very attentive! Don't think our glasses were ever empty! Also Yajaira Trejo Gomez who looked after at the beach and poolside such a lovely friendly lady who went out of her way to take care of us and always had time for a little chat. The restaurants were all amazing and we particularly enjoyed the 'show' at the Japanese great fun! On my husbands 50th birthday during our stay a bottle of bubbly and a birthday cake were placed in our suite which was a lovely touch and we dined at the Italian restaurant Portofino who surprised him with birthday dessert complete with candle and lots of singing! All in all a very special and memorable holiday!

First thing is first - I never write TripAdvisor reviews but after this trip, I needed to, to warn everyone of what they can expect. I read pages and pages of these reviews before booking. We have traveled to the Rivera Maya/Cancun for years to very high end resorts (Royalton, NOW brands, etc) and this by far was our worst trip to date. I had booked this resort earlier this year thinking it was going to be a great resort since the resort had just opened November of 2018 so it was brand new! My husband and I traveled here with our 3 year old early October. We booked the Loft Suite in Family Selection for our trip. Two weeks before we arrived I sent in an email requesting a nice view. The email was acknowledged and I was told upon availability we would be given an ocean view room. When we arrived, we were not offered a hot wet towel or a drink as we have experienced in the past at other resorts. We were whisked away to check in before putting placed on a buggy to get over to FS. Check in went fast and we met our family host. When we got to the room, our family host showed us around. This would be the last time we would hear from him without locating him on our own. The view from this room was horrendous! The opposite of what was requested. Our balconies looked straight out onto Poseidon. We had come to see the ocean, not a building. We figured we’d talk about changing rooms the next day because we were tired and wanted to enjoy the ocean, pool, and eat. The only thing this resort has going for them is their beach and beach pool. The beach is very long with white sands. The water is beautiful and the tractor is always going around cleaning the seaweed. We decided to eat at the main buffet our first night there. We wanted to take a boat out there but no boats were running. We decided to get a golf buggy because the walk to the main buffet would be to long and this was before we knew about the infestation of mosquitos here. The buffet is very nice inside with their decor and set up of tables. The food was disgusting! I’m not sure why there are so many positive reviews about the food. I’m not sure where these people are eating but this food is nothing to write positive posts about (seriously!) and we are in no means food snobs. The mashed potatoes that I found were over salted, my sons chicken nuggets were rock hard and this was at 6pm, when they opened for dinner. Next day: I spoke with the FS concierge about moving rooms because of our view. They told us to come back at 11am to see what they could do. I come back to only be told to come back again at 3. While my son was napping, my husband came back from their gym and let me know that one of the rooms had opened up. I went straight downstairs to be told by our “Family Host” that this room was unavailable and that the manager would tell me more. I had spoken with the manager (Victor) all day prior to this and he told me I was his highest priority. As I was sitting there waiting for Victor (again), a family checking in was getting assigned the room I was questioning. When I asked the desk why this room was assigned to them and why we were not moved into it since we were their “high priority” I was told they paid for the room....like I hadn’t paid for the same exact type of room! They started to give me an attitude and I asked for them to ring my Apple Rep because I had enough at this point. They had wasted my whole day. They kept telling me I could downgrade the room to a Junior Suite or wait 4 days for another room to open up. My Apple rep back home and at the resort were informed of everything happening and of course they were of no help either. We questioned how much extra it would cost to move out of this resort and go down to the hotel zone. They wanted an extra $2600!! This is another vacation cost when it should have been an even split. They even told my husband that they were expecting a negative review from us. Instead of rectifying the situation, they would rather have a bad review out there. Great customer service. We were stuck there so we tried to make the best of the trip. My son started to run a random fever there and we had to go into the village to buy $15 Motrin. I ended up with food poisoning and was throwing up one night from something I had eaten. When I say the food is disgusting, when I lifted a lid at Poisedon for lunch where the name plate read “grilled sausage”, inside was heated up hot dogs....hot dogs at a 5 star resort! This is something dogs would eat. The only person at the resort that stood out to us was Julio, one of the waiters at The Nest. When I was sick in our room, he found ginger ale in the resort which the resort does not readily carry. He even asked if I needed more the following day. To end this review the resort is infested with mosquitos. This is not a joke, if you are traveling here, bring OFF because it’s expensive at the gift shop. I don’t know if they choose not to spray but the second you walk outside you will be attacked! Please put your hard earned money towards another resort because from an Americans point of view this resort is a waste of money to come to unless you want to be treated horribly and not like a customer. A lot of these employees need a lesson or two in customer service because customer service is lacking here.
