I’m inspired to leave this review even before we part this beautiful place because I woke up thinking about having to leave and a real tear came to my eye. The Fairmont has not changed much since the last time we were here. Still impeccably maintained, ideal location and amazing staff. What’s different, is the challenge they face with Covid-19. Not only has the Fairmont and the dedicated folks that work here risen too the challenge, they’ve exceeded expectations. Safety first, everywhere in a way that doesn’t detract from the experience. Rooms: not the newest or most modern on the island, but certainly well maintained with timeless decor and very spacious. We stayed in an ocean view suite for 2 nights prior to transferring to a 2 bedroom villa. Both needed a little bit of updating, but still a solid 8/10. Bathrooms were well appointed and large. Beds were 10/10 comfy. Villa: If you get a chance to experience the villa, do it! Yes, it’s no joke expensive, but I just had to try it and I’m glad we did. The photos online do not do it justice. Huge and well appointed. Even the refrigerator had complementary snacks and beverages. Everything you need including a private outdoor space with a grill and plunge pool. Two levels with beautiful ocean views. Lastly, without a doubt the best part of the Fairmont is the people. Given all the uncertainty going on I’m very grateful for their welcoming and kindness.

I wish we had more time!!!

This was our first resort stay since the state reopened. The Kea Lani team did a fantastic job! I felt safe with the attention to cleanliness and precautions they’ve implemented to protect guests and their team. Ko was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner with Makana Market as another option. Ko is always a local favorite. The lobster tempura & oishi sushi is my go-to and the rib-eye was the hubby’s. When I asked about a drink that was no longer on the menu, kudos to Bree for making it happen. We didn’t get to enjoy the adult pool (because of the kids), but it looked VERY enticing with the new cabanas and jacuzzi. While adding a jacuzzi to the adult pool is a big BONUS, the kiddie pool is perfect for our 4yr old and 1yr old. Can’t wait to go back!

The hotel is in a beautiful location in Maui and very easy to get to from the airport. A very relaxing place and the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are big especially the bathroom. There are plenty of restaurants to choose for dining.

Awesome hotel, staff was great location is amazing. Room was well maintained. I received excellent customer service as soon as I arrived to the hotel. First impressions are always made before even walking into a hotel and exceeded my expectations. Will be coming back for another visit.

Prior to staying here, former guests raved about the "white heaven" (Kea Lani's translation). I truly wanted to love this resort. I really liked it, just didn't love it. The lobby is spacious, open-air, and tropical (typical of most Hawaiian upscale resorts). The suites are huge with large bathrooms. The 2 and 3 bedroom beachfront villas are great with private pools. The pool area is also nice. It even has a water slide. Unfortunately kids get bored with the one slide. Some adults too. All this sounds great but there is only one problem. I stayed at the Grand Wailea prior. Grand Wailea set the bar above the Kea Lani. I expected clean, white, crisp, somewhat modern style interiors. The only white thing was the exterior. I would recommend Kea Lani for the low key luxury guests. Nice hotel. Very nice. Just not heavenly.
