Had a business trip and the promoter is up in a quiet room. Very nice! No coffeemaker in the room but you can order it the night before and they show up promptly with everything you need. I gotta kick outta the pic of KISS in the room!

    WiFi ruined it

Have previously stayed at this hotel and genuinely think its the best in Vegas. However we were back there tonight to see a show as we are staying elsewhere this visit and its the small things that make the difference. Basically we have spent $80 on show tickets, approx $100 in the casino and $50 on drinks during the show. Not wanting to spend anymore than we have to we want to get an uber back to our hotel and not pay the overpriced taxis in Vegas. To do this we need WiFi to make the booking (we are from the UK and to use our data on our phones also costs so that is not an option). Trying to log on to the WiFi brings up the option to purchase unless you are a guest for $10.Given how much we have spent there we thought they might cut us some slack and let us use it free for the 2 minutes it would take to make the booking. When we went to reception to ask apparently not they can't do this for non residents and to be honest the receptionist looked at us like we were dirt on her shoe. So we end up getting an over priced taxi anyway. What they need to remember is that they are an off strip hotel, people don't just walk in off the street so they need to be doing things better to maintain the custom. Yes it might sound petty not being able to use the WiFi for free but just about everywhere else in Vegas does it. I will never step foot in this place again even if it is just on principle.

From the moment we walked in, we regretted our decision to stay there. The main reception desk is in the general casino where smoking is freely permitted. This ranges from vapes, cannabis, cigars and cigarettes and the smell permeates the air. The reception staff are surly and look as though they hate their jobs (or maybe they hate the patrons, who know!). Our room, whilst spacious, was grubby. On the surface it looked clean, but there were marks on the light switches and especially behind the bathroom door - makes you not want to touch it. The bed had a huge hump in the middle - we wonder how old the beds were. One day our room wasn't cleaned, and when we asked a cleaner in the passageway if she could do our room, she refused, saying it wasn't on her list. The housekeeping people told us that the girls had done their 8 hours, so in the end we just gave them the dirty towels and asked for clean ones. There was no fridge and no tea or coffee making facilities, forcing patrons to go downstairs if they wanted a cuppa or cold drink. There was a cupboard in the area where you might normally find a mini-bar fridge which housed a range of drinks. Be very careful if you pick up one of these drinks, even just to read the label. They are all on electronically spring loaded pads and you are charged immediately the item is lifted. Likewise with the items on the bench top, eg, lollies, water, etc. We have to say that the bell staff, (those who assisted with taxis etc) were very good and extremely pleasant. The hotel is not on the main strip and is a definite taxi ride away. Would we return - absolutely not.

We stayed here a couple days in May and were very disappointed. The hotel has been sold to virgin and it appears they are not trying to keep it up before the hotel is rebranded. The two big pools were closed. The elevators were chronically not working correctly with guests routinely having to wait in long lines to get card updated or fixed. The hotel looks tired and worn out. Our room was modern and nice however because we wanted to check in at 2 instead of 4-5, we were required to take a room overlooking the roof. Who the hell doesn’t let u check In until 4-5? The gym is very small and doesn’t have much equipment. The hotel is quite away from the strip so u will either need to use uber or use the shuttle; however the shuttle doesn’t run that often and the drop off isn’t very convenient. We didn’t gamble at the hotel because it was so full of smoke (although most of the casinos have smoking). The pool staff were unfriendly. We have been to other hard rocks and they had good vibes, were clean and modern. This one is old u clean and in desperate need of an update. I wouldn’t recommend staying her until after virgin takes it over and revamps it.

A paradise out of the strip

This is a great place to stay, away from the strip accesible by car, shuttle and public bus. 20 minutes walking. Rooms are confortable and clean, stuff is friendly. Good option are enough and very tasty. Great space for vacation ... can’t tell more because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.????
