    Visited during CoVid

Stayed here 4 years ago and it was fabulous. Love the location and kitchen in the room. This visit was during CoVid so we expected changes. Hand sanitizer and masks were in the lobby and a small kit was left in the room with cloth masks, sanitizer and the metal things to use for elevator buttons. We stayed in a corner suite (which is the same room type as before). Still love the hotel but it is showing some wear. Carpet and furniture in living room need to be replaced. There was a bathing suit left in the dryer and the washing machine wasn’t working. The morning we were checking out, housekeeping knocked on the door to see if we were gone twice before checkout time. We felt like we needed to rush out. The restaurant had a very limited menu and the bar and Starbucks in the lobby were closed. The front desk staff was friendly and efficient as always. Would probably stay here again because there aren’t many choices that offer a full kitchen, but it is definitely due for an update.

All staff we came into contact with were helpful and friendly. Pool was closed when we stayed but we could use the Aria pool and it was beautiful. Entire resort and rooms were clean and sanitizer/mask rules were enforced, which was comforting. 24 hr security checked room keys at the elevators and made us feel safe. Loved the location! So convenient to most things we planned to do on our trip. Our room was beautiful, had an amazing view of the Bellagio fountains. Kitchenette with microwave, burners and mini fridge was super convenient since we stayed for 3 nights. Beautiful bathroom and shower. Bed was so comfy, and loved the media system. We had dinner at Catch in the Aria and would definitely recommend if you love seafood and a beautiful ambiance. Will definitely be staying again!

Let me start off by 1st saying that there were great things that the staff did extremely well with but unfortunately the bad was bad. I would like to first of all thank their agent Nayeli who accommodated my booking. We asked for some request and although not guaranteed, Nayeli delivered. My next trip to Vegas which will be soon Ill be stopping by to drop you off a much deserved tip mark my words (left in a rush). I appreciate the precaution that the pool takes in regards to covid. They practice good social distance, enforce people to wear mask, and attend people well. on to the bad. We requedted dishes because we were going to cook in our room but they weremt deliver... no biggie we called back and they delivered. I called back the next day to have the room serviced. We had dirty dishes, we needed towels because we used the tub, and do to the cooking we had waste. I called at 10am and they said that they would clean the room. We left and came back at 1pm and the room wasnt cleaned. I asked if I could at least get towels, trashbags, and dish soap and that I would clean. The agent said services is only done before 1pm. IT WAS 1PM and I had already called once at 10am. She said she would speak to a manager to request services. Left once again to the pool came back at 4pm. NOTHING had been done, NOTHING had been delivered so of course I was upset. I even took my own lysol to dissinfect the room and keeps housekeeping safe, I even requested to deliver the items that I would do the cleaning my self ... 3 calls and the room is smelling of trash, dirty dishes, and a wet floor from the tub... We left again and came back at 8pm. Trash was outside our door, dishes had been removed, and towels were left on top of our beds. I understand we are going through covid, but dude Im still paying a $45 resort fee. I even requested to take care of cleaning on my own... Of course Im going to be upset and not wanting to stay here again. Im an Mlife member too Pearl about to go Gold, no one wants to be treated as such....

City Corner Suite - What to expect during Covid

Quality hotel but first: Vegas is a bit different during this unique time. The strip was quiet except at night. We figured since there are no shows going on everyone is walking on the strip at night. With Cannabis legal and cheep hotel rooms there is definitely a younger crowd than in the past. You can catch a buzz by just walking the strip, I don't care one way or the other but it is different. Also no trams between hotels and limited bus service means you will get some steps in. Now for the hotel Vdara is part of MLife properties - let me say all MLife properties did an outstanding job with regard to cleanliness and safety. There were plastic shields at the lounges and table games between chairs and staff was respectfully enforcing face coverings. Most of the other non MLife properties just limited seating and payed less attention to cleaning. We stayed in a Corner suite and it was amazing. Full size refrigerator, dishwasher and stackable washer and dryer are a huge plus. Feels like you are in a mini apartment. Lobby is clean and the hotel is quiet as there is no gambling on site. The pool and exercise room is only open on the weekend. But you can walk 5 minutes and be in Aria and the pool is very nice and the gym has plenty of free weights/cardio equipment. This and one other things (below) is the only reason I did not give this a 5 star. Last thing which would have been nice. You call to get plates/laundry detergent and towels to be brought to our room. We asked for a coffee machine and were told, that would be a $20 charge per day. Given you pay a $45 resort fee and the gym/pool was closed on weekdays this was a small turnoff. They did have coffee to purchase in cafe so we just did that. Starbucks was closed - not sure if that is open on the weekends. Bottom line this was perhaps the nicest room we have stayed at in Vegas and with rates so low it was an easy decision.

We checked into the Vdara in a desperate attempt to save our vacation, as filthy conditions at a previous hotel drove us out. We had only a couple of days in Vegas and I decided to bite the bullet and stay at a pricier place. As it turns out, Vdara was only slightly more expensive when all was said and done. And what a difference. The view from the 36th floor was unreal, even though the Bellagio Fountains were off. We didn't have an unobstructed view of the strip, but the lights spreading out over the city and beyond were magical. The king bed and separate living area really made it feel much less like a hotel room and more like an upscale apartment. And with the price of take-out, it was great to have a fridge for leftovers. I felt like a princess in the giant soaking tub....it was truly the highlight of our stay! Loved the technology, the automated window shades, dimmed lighting, everything. The staff were professional, courteous, and eager to please. Covid precautions were taken very seriously. I felt safe and cared for throughout. Disappointed that the pool at Vdara wasn't open and we had to travel to Aria pool (which was busy), plus Starbucks was closed, but these are minor complaints. Parts of Las Vegas seem pretty unsafe and seedy to me, which I hear wasn't always the case; but, when we returned back to Vdara it felt like a sanctuary to us. This hotel literally saved our trip from being a disaster. Highly recommend Vdara!
