Worst Bonvoy Hotel - Noisy

Springhill Suites Convention Way. Noisy hotel and rates are inconsistent. My husband and I booked a king size room. As a Marriott Elite member, we expected much better service and quality. And the best rates available. Instead, the king bed rooms are all on the street side. The worst are the x39 rooms. On the corner of two major intersections. The odd numbered rooms are all on the street side. We heard revving engines and sirens all night long. We found out later that the quieter rooms are the queen rooms - even numbered rooms as they face an alley. Also the floors are not noise insulated. A lot of kids (understandable) but ridiculous. To make matters worse, I paid $360 for the room even though the advertise rate on the website was about $284. The manager would not make the rate adjustment. The Fairfield Inn is quieter as rooms are set back from the street.

Stayed in this hotel based on the proximity to Disneyland and the free breakfast. Also, I generally have stayed at Marriott branded hotels. The hotel is close to Disney and we walked each day as opposed to going to the Toy Story buses. This is a big positive. The breakfast is sub par and crazy busy with almost no seating. All I could get into me was the oatmeal and it is hard to go wrong with oatmeal. They were often out of coffee and the eggs were not good. The staff worked hard to try to keep up with the rush of people. It was an included breakfast but passable. I tried to get Marriott to price match a third party site but they were often delayed or couldn’t find the price ir didn’t look to hard. I think the hotel needs an good update lots of wear in the rooms and in the lobby area. The staff work hard with what they have and are friendly. Lots of alternatives at the price point.
