THIS IS THE BEST PLACE EVER!!!!! Lady J TT and Paul at the bar made it the best experience ever. We appreciate their hospitality so much. This was the best trip to bring our kids on. They got to see the Jamaican culture and also experience the best trip of their lifetime.

Your fitness instructor mr. Rolando is amazing. Loved his work and I enjoyed a lot. I rate him more ten , the highest score. I have joined a lot water aerobics class but this one was very special. Different from back home. Mr. Rolando is a big asset for your facility.

Positives… Great staff that work hard to make the guests happy and keep the place clean. These employees really deserve an applause as they were the best part of the whole trip. They are the ONLY reason I gave this resort one star. Negatives… Extremely outdated. This resort is in need of a major overhaul. The lobby is small and full of outdated furniture (torn, worn and stained). The rooms / pool were just as bad (noticeable tile missing from all the pools). If it wasn’t for my children’s excitement, I would have found different lodging site on seen. Food was very underwhelming and the buffet was barely edible. If you like to go to the beach or pool good luck finding a chair. Despite a posted sign that says you cannot reserve chairs, it was beyond difficult to find anywhere for my family of 5 to sit and relax even when waking or 6 am to do so. Ridiculous. Spent EVERY day looking at empty chairs “reserved” by other guests with no bodies in them for the ENIRE day. I typically do not even write reviews, but I wish I would’ve known this prior to going, attempting to try to save you from the same. This resort has ruined the Beaches franchise for me and in the future I will take my business elsewhere. I suggest you continue looking.

I don’t normally write reviews but thought I would as after reading the reviews on here I was really concerned about our visit to Beaches Ocho Rios but I really didn’t have anything to worry about at all! BUT I am going to be honest about positives and negatives in respect of our stay. From the start of the trip, our transfer from the airport to the resort was comfortable and our driver was extremely friendly, explaining things and answering all our questions. The entrance to the resort is grand and we were welcomed with wet flannels and drinks and asked to check in using a tablet, which was a little long winded after an extremely long journey but fine. The room we were given was of an extremely good size and yes, dated, with an unusual odour (not sure if it’s because it’s old) and in need of renovation but it was clean, with a fully stocked fridge (all included) and had everything we needed. The only thing I would say about the room is that for the money we paid I would have expected toiletries replenished when they ran out. Also there were times when I had to ask for the drinks fridge to be replenished with water and although I asked for milk for my young child to be provided daily, this didn’t happen without repeated requests but obviously it’s a large hotel and there are a lot of rooms to deal with.. but if I asked any restaurant on the resort to fill my daughter’s milk bottle, this was done immediately. I must say that the staff here are what makes the resort so great. They are so friendly and welcoming and the restaurant staff to the entertainment’s team and kids club put in so much effort. It really was unusual to find anyone who didn’t make an effort and just say hello or hold a door open. Not to mention the sesame entertainment which was outstanding. My kids loved the characters so much : ) and the Sesame Street breakfast was so much fun! The food and drinks were great! There was a good selection at the bayside and the Italian, French and Seafood restaurants were outstanding. Oh and the crepes were a firm favourite for us.! The only thing I would say is that you can’t reserve a table unless your on a concierge package which is annoying when you have already paid a huge amount to visit from the UK and have to wait around with small children. There is so much for the kids. The pool areas, slides, beach and kids club were all great! In respect of the pool and beach area we always found two sunbeds free but anymore would be tricky unless you got up extremely early and put down towels. Also sun umbrellas just aren’t enough and beaches you really need to provide more, especially for people with babies. Also the resort shop is overpriced and sun cream cost us about 25 dollars which is ridiculous! I would say that if you are coming here with a little one, excursions are tricky but actually a staff member serving breakfast gave us the idea of visiting Ocho Rios Downtown with our own taxi driver who was amazing and stayed with us from start to finish, explaining what we were seeing and taking us where we wanted. The hotel is dated and could do with a refurb but even if it was completely revamped it wouldn’t have changed our experience. This was our first visit to Jamaica and we have had a great time and have absolutely loved it! Thank you so much to all the staff at the resort and for making this a holiday one to remember.

Some of the staff were rude and hostile. Slow to accomodate requests. I will not go back to this location again. Beaches Nigril is much better. The staff are more helpful friendly and invested in the visiters experience....................
