This was our first time staying at TRS Turquesa. It was wonderful and we highly recommend it. We would definitely come back! Albesaard with the POP entertainment team was great! The butler Randall was over the top wonderful. The Chic show was great. Coco Loco and Pina Colada are a must. The Hibachi and Argentine restaurants are great. Las Torres is great for breakfast.

This trip to Punta Cana was our first and it was amazing because of Issadora, Albessard, Randal and a few others. Issadora went above and beyond and made this trip so special for us. Very friendly, clean, beautiful place. Always happy and making sure you have everything you need. The best experience and we will definitely be back. Definitely 5 star treatment.

Just came home from my 2nd time at this resort. Was fearful after reading recent food reviews about people getting sick. Happy to say my group of 8 ate and drank at all the restaurants with zero issues. Food was exceptional as were the drinks. Shout out to Randy our butler for taking such great care of us and of course Delores at the the pool bar for her hard work, she is truly a gem.

Enjoyed eating in all the restaurants. The staff was very attentive and very welcoming. The food was great especially the steak house (El Dorado)The entertainment personnel was very kind, funny and very polite especially Milca she made our stay very enjoyable, fun and is a very good activity person I would definitely come back to where she is posted. I also loved the waiter on the helios section of the bar. He attended to all our needs. If they have more people like Milca and Robert I would definitely come back and would recommend others about this resort

TRS Turquesa – Great Rooms and location, inconsistent restaurant service and quality. In General: Came back from TRS February 1st, overall we had a good time at this Adult only resort. The rooms are fairly large, with a 4 post king size bed, comfortable mattress, double sinks in the bathrooms, and good sized sitting area. The showers are about 4ft X 4 ft, and there is a separate enclosed water closet (toilet). The junior suites come with a fully stocked bar, with at least 4 bottles of liquor that you can select though the online E-butler prior to you arrival. The resort send a link to each guest for you to make your liquor, coffee, wine , and pillow selections a few weeks before you arrive. You can also ask questions and make reservations at the adjacent Palladium resort restaurants though the E-Butler. Each building has a couple of Butlers assigned, to take care of guest requests, like dinner reservations, spa appointments, etc. Our main butler was Miguel, he was a new butler and was always trying to fulfill our request. We did also have an older butler stationed at our building, who seem like it was an inconvenience to ask him anything, typically his response was either go to the front desk, go to the front lobby to catch a trolley (Part of the TRS benefits is they are supposed to call you a private cart to your building if you have reservations at the other three resorts on the property), or that will cost you more, or I’m not sure that is included… he wasn’t helpful at All! We would typically have to talk to Miguel or someone else to get our request fulfilled. Overall for the resort 4 stars Rooms: The rooms are large and well equipped, with a K-cup coffee maker and several types of coffees or teas that you can order. Bar contain 4 brand new unopened bottles that you order prior to you arrival. We had a junior suite on the second floor. My only complaint is the cleaners would start in the halls at 7:45 and would be very noisy for about ½ hr. To minimize this I recommend requesting a room at the end of the hallway if you are a light sleeper. Also to the hotel they could fix this issue if they started the cleaning service after 10am, like many other resorts currently do. There is a wine cooler in the room, but we had difficulty getting this restocked after we finished the bottle of wine that was in the room at our arrival. Told by the older butler to call room service, but room service never came with a new bottle after several repeated calls, I don’t think the room service person understood English very well… Eventually Miguel brought us another bottle of wine for the room… My wife was pleasantly surprised when Miguel arranged to have a bubble bath drawn (each room has a large 2 person Jacuzzi tub) with rose petals adorning the floor, bed and tub, bottle of champagne on ice and orange juice! Nice touch! Overall: 4.5 stars Room recommendation: Quieter at end of hallway away from stairs All buildings are good, swim outs on first floor if you are a homebody or need some alone time and don’t like the beach or main pool. Beach: Beach is about 120 ft wide in total, around 40 ft in front of the first row of chair. If you want a chair in the first row will need to get up before 7am to put your towel on it. Otherwise there is a good selection of beach chairs that are in good condition. I recommend getting towels when they arrive to the towel shack next to the beach around noon to 2pm each day, as they run out fast at the beach. Alternatively they have towels available by the buildings in section 53 to 57 next to the bar area, since there are pools around these buildings. There is drink service at the beach, typically comes around every 1.5 hrs or more if you are a good tipper… One recommendation for the hotel is to stock each room with beach towels, many nicer resorts now provide this service. Beach is very long, about 20Km, so lots of nice sand for long walks. The beaches towards the east are much wider and not as sloped as the one by the hotel. I believe this is the older section of resort area; also there are a few local shops and restaurants on the beach towards the east. 4.5 Stars Entertainment: This is where the TRS fails, very little entertainment on the resort grounds. No music at the pools, and occasionally there is a brief musician between 4 and 4:30pm at the mail pool. Also at night in the main lobby there is a musician between 8 and 10pm. If you want an evening show, or to go dancing, you have to travel about 2 or 3 km to the other side of the resort compound to the palladium Bavaro… not convenient at all.. plus the train trolley is dangerous.. my wife was injured getting off the trolley since it is long and the driver didn’t stop long enough or check to notice that she was still getting off the trolley… she could have been seriously hurt, fortunately just a few bumps and scrapes… but her head narrowly missed the curb when she fell. The one bright spot in the entertainment is the Chic Cabaret. Three hour long signing and dance show, all done while dinner is served. There is only a $20 charge per person for TRS guests; the other three resorts on the compound pay $89USD. I definitely recommend it, best entertainment on the resort! 2.5 Stars over all ( Chic Cabaret get 4.5 stars) Restaurants: The four restaurants on the TRS resort are definitely more upscale that the ones at the other three resort, plus you don’t need a reservation. The resort was 95% capacity, and we never had to wait. All are A la Cart, they also have a generous appetizer buffet you could almost just eat from there. I found the food service to be a inconsistent. Some time quick, they pulled out my wife’s chair and set her napkin and took our orders within 5 min. And then sometimes very slow and unattentive, waited 25 min to get served for breakfast at Helios after we were seated… no coffee either… The food quality was hit and miss, some nights great, others just mediocre. Steak at Helois was not a good cut, very sinewy, and at Capricho was overdone. Wife’s Salmon at La Boheme was undercooked in the center my Chicken cordon blue was good.. We had great stone oven pizza at Portofino (located in the Grand Palladium). I heard from other couples they didn’t care for this restaurant, didn’t like the Italian food, but our experience was good. El Dorado is the steak house located at the Grand Palladium. The steak was good, and cooked to the right temp. But the so called baked potato was just two little micro waved mini potatoes… with no fixings… rather poor presentation… Note for both these restaurants you will need you Butler to make reservations. If you want to go to any of the restaurants at the other adjacent Palladium resorts I suggest making them the first day you arrive, if the resorts are full, you may not get in if you don’t reserve right away. To ensure you get the time you want, get the E-butler to reserve before you arrive. All A la Cart restaurants provide you with lots of room between the tables for an intimate dining experience. Occasionally the person sitting you will pull out your wife’s chair to sit down, and then sometimes not. None of the restaurant servers come back to check how you food is once you are served… service feels rushed in that regard. Helios 3.5 Stars (TRS) Portofino 4 Stars (Grand Palladium) El Dorado 3.5 Stars (Grand Palladium) Bhogali 4 Stars (Grand Palladium resort spa and Casino) Capricho 3.5 Stars (TRS) La Boheme 3.5 Stars TRS) Butler: We can’t say enough about Miguel, he was always working hard to make our stay special. If you asked him a question or made a request he would try to fulfil. The butler service is there to make your dinner reservations, and are basically like customer service, for any little issues or special requests you have. Although we did have one older Butler who didn’t want to do anything for us, we asked for a cart to go to a restaurant, he told us to go to the main building to wait for the trolley (even after we were told that the Butlers were there to call transportation to our building to take us to dinner reservations at the other resorts, since the walk in some cases would be 30 min or more…) Any requests we had for this guy were never completed… wow, worst Butler ever. 4.5 Stars – Mostly due to Miguels friendly and hard work…other Butler gets 1 star Recommendation: If you want to have dinner at the other resorts, have your butler reserve on at your arrival. If the resort is full they may not get you in if you wait until the day before or that eve.
