Dangerous and unethical
MikeJ_FL_Flyer (Orlando, Florida) on Mar 20, 2024
This place is dangerous and unethical. Keep your family safe by not coming here. After one of our family members cut their foot on glass in the pool, we had to spend time in our room as she could not walk well. When our dinner reservation time was here, we were told they would not provide a cart because it was a different hotel and it took 30 minutes to slowly hobble over to the restaurnt. Once we arrived at dinner we were told we were 10 minutes late and our reservation was canceled. This place is a scam and does not treat their customers with any dignity nor do they care for injuries they are responsible for.
Keeps improving

Westjet flights and shared shuttles with Nexus were fine, no complaints. Returning to the Lindo this time with 8 family members ranging in age from 4 - 73. Requested rooms in building 54, got 3 ground floor rooms in 55 , great for everyone including one person with mobility issues. Renovated rooms were clean, everything functioning, nothing broken. Easy access to pools and lobby area restaurants. This resort is great for families. Food was very good at a la cartes and buffet. Just a few minor complaints: We were surprised and disappointed that this resort allows spring breakers to book here. Huge groups of them arrived just a few days before we left. Most of them did not create any problems but a few groups were very loud/disruptive in the buffet and at the activity pool. The chair saving problem at this resort was annoying. Lots of greedy people saving lounge chairs at pool and/or beach but not using them for many hours when there are many other people looking for chairs to actually use. The resort doesn't doesn't seem interested in fixing this problem. Personal rant: Why does the buffet serve large head-on prawns/shrimp all the time, alone or in dishes, that are basically inedible...soft, mushy, tasteless, difficult to peel. What a huge waste of money when nobody actually likes them. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much.

(I went in march 2022) Litteral paradise, huge hotel its like an entire city. It has places to watch your kids and a gym. There is so much to do and the rooms are nice. Cant forget the staff, they are litterly like your freinds. Amazing place it really deserves 5 stars.
A really nice stay at Iberostar Lindo

A really nice stay at Iberostar Lindo. Traveled with 2 adults and two teens. This was the fifth all inclusive resort where we have visited over the past several years. The beach was long, sandy and gorgeous. If you are not a sun worshipper, there are also many palapas so you can enjoy the beach and pools without getting scorched. There were several pools: some quiet and relaxing and some very high energy. We were at the resort in March and found the pool and beach water temperature nice and warm. There were a couple of days that the ocean was a bit rough but the multiple pools offered a lot of other options. Because we could wander around the neighboring Del Mar and Paraiso Beach resorts and the Iberostar 'mall' as well, we did not feel ‘cooped up’ as often happens in other vacations. The resort is large and the grounds were green and lush and had beautiful wildlife (flamingos, peacocks, coatis, turtles, iguanas, etc). The staff were polite, attentive, and seemed genuinely invested in our family having a fun vacation, from the chefs/supervisors in the restaurants, to servers, to entertainment staff etc. Restaurants – a lot of choice and my teens thought they were in food heaven. I am a foodie and I would give most items 7.5-8.5/10, with a few extraordinary dishes and a few misses. Although there were lots of meat items for the meat lovers, there were a many non-meat items for the vegetarians. We went to el rancho/steak place (excellent), the Greek and French restaurants, which were good. The Fire show and Mayan traditional show were great. Finally, the resort has a strong pro-environment policy to reduce waste and impact on the environment which we felt is important to support. A few cons and I think Iberostar management should fix these because they have been commented by multiple previous guests/reviewers: the lazy river was too lazy (almost not moving). The resort should provide better evening entertainment at the theatre (and not ask guests to pay for the extra 'special' shows because it feels like a cash grab when you have already spent so much for the vacation). Food was good but not excellent, although there was many choices. You do have to get up early to save your beach or pool chairs if you want a seat and Iberostar could simply purchase more pool /beach chairs. However, I have found the lack of chairs is similar in most resorts. I avoided the sales pitch for the timeshares that made the other guests grumpy in the reviews (I have no interest in spending even 1 hour to listen to a time share pitch that I will not be buying instead of spending time with my kids during precious vacation time...). Overall, we had a very nice week at the Lindo and I would plan to return there for future vacations.
NO chairs, no shade and noisy
Lisa W (Richwood, Ohio) on Mar 14, 2024
We are finishing a week long stay and wanted to warn others of our experience. There are five of us, my husband, myself and our three teenage children. There aren't any pool chairs available in the shade and there aren't any available at the beach. The towel game is ferocious and I refuse to get up at 6:30 a.m. to reserve a chair. Occasionally, my teenage son has found a few separate chairs that he brought to another combined spot while the other family members either sit on the concrete or the sand, or the end of my chair. We only go out for several hours and rest of the time is spent in the room because there isn't enough shade to go around, unless you want to pay extra for it - the resort charges to use their shaded beds. For thousands of dollars, I would like a chair and some shade. Additionally, they are doing construction on the building we are in, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. They appear to be chipping away at the exterior and repainting. It sounds like they are drilling into the building and using a high powered washer. It's incredibly noisy so no afternoon nap. The resort is 99% full so we can only change one room out at this time. The gym plays really bad music, very, very loudly. Think Miami Beach disco on a Friday night at 1 a.m. I can hear it loudly through my noise-canceling headphones. So much so that I can't hear the music that I'm playing on the earbuds. Gym would not turn it down stating that it was the "gym instructor" who controlled it. I had a headache after 20 minutes and had to stop my workout. In short, this might be a good resort in an off-season when they have enough chairs and shade for everyone and when they aren't doing construction on the buildings you are sleeping in, but I would make this a hard pass if you want chairs, shade and to be able to nap in the afternoon in prime season. If a gym is important to you like it is to us, look elsewhere too.
