What an incredible trip! I worked as part of a Fitness Vacation Exchange program and taught two fitness classes a day at this resort. Carlos and Juan work in the gym and they were so kind and guided me through when I would be teaching my classes and more details about my program. They are always on the gym answering questions and helping guests there. Such great guys! The entertainment team is FABULOUS!!! Emmanuel, Mauricio, Fernando and Isaac are at the main pool every single day leading group activities from the foam party to volleyball to contests and games and aqua Zumba. They have the best energy and they even took my class and acted as my assistants! They work around the clock to help the guests have the best experience possible, and they treat the guests like family. They also work the night time events, helping run the dance and singing performances that happen in the lobby every night. This seems like a 24 hour job and they bring so much energy and joy to the hotel. The food was amazing- there are more than 5 restaraunts to choose from. We loved Maria Marie and Asiana. There are also buffets and the breakfast room service was awesome. The cleaning staff was impeccable. As soon as we left our room to go to the beach or gym every morning, they immidiately came in and made our room spotless and restocked our snacks and coffee. Again- so nice and hard working!! There are photographers on site that offer professional photos for you to purchase. Paula was so sweet and always willing to take professional photos for us! We were so happy to see her every day, and again she works so very hard. We took a day trip to Coba to see the Mayan ruins, and the guys at Best Day helped us with a great deal and set us up for a perfect and seamless day- from transportation to a guided tour to dinner and a show! Overall- our experience at the Hilton was 10/10. We loved the staff, food, service, fitness team, entertainment team and the hotel itself was beautiful.

All inclusive food = got really sick. All Inclusive means if you want to drink average wine you pay way too much. Just go to a nice hotel and eat good food. Unless you have an iron stomach and don’t drink wine or like good food. Never again.

This was the second time that my wife and I went to this resort....It is now taken over by Hilton and that is a good and slightly bad thing.... Things that were free before now suddenly have a charge ie: beds by the pool, spa, etc. Overall though this is an amazing resort with great food, wonderful rooms, and plenty to do. My wife and I mainly eat at the Spice buffet or Asiana restaurants, with the food being plentiful(perhaps at time too plentiful) and of very good quality.... This time we tried the Italian and Brazilian steakhouse in the sister hotel across the street. We would not bother doing this again, the food was subpar and no where near the quality of the food at the Hilton Playa. Every evening there is entertainment in the lobby, some nights are fantastic and some nights are good. We had booked a one bedroom suite....and we did have some issues. Our room was over by the quiet pool. The pool is lovely but not such a great location for our room. Our balcony faced a wall and we could see the pool area but being at the back of the hotel the gulf was a long way away. We also had to look over a huge construction area on our way to our room and we were quite disappointed. We mentioned it to our butler German (yes the room came with a butler) and within no time we had been upgraded to a new wonderful room...German also was available at any time to answer any question and to make sure all our needs were filled. A wonderful person and very good at his job. All in all a wonderful experience and we love the fact that the beach and 5th avenue are so close... Oh and one last item all the staff are friendly and great at their jobs....

We had a great time at this resort, our room was very nice. It was nice to walk off of the resort and go shopping and also get some authentic food. The food on the resort was good no complaints and they keep the drinks coming at the pool. Our butler David Huicochea was there for anything we needed. We was able to communicate via text message which worked out great for us and when we were at the pool he would bring food and drinks. If you are getting a butler suite you need to ask for David... There was some construction and renovating when we was there but they kept it contained and it did not bother us.

Had an excellent stay. It was my birthday and they made my stay very special. Birthday wishes on the bed when we checked in along with Champagne and a birthday dessert in the room. Staff was always very pleasant. Arranged an excursion for us and had great spa services with Silvia and others. Would suggest the Mayan spa treatments. This hotel is a block and a half from 5th Avenue shopping and restaurants. The fitness room was very nice as well. There was entertainment every night that was not cheezy. Talented dancers of many genres. Food was very good for all inclusive. To get good wine, you have to pay extra. I would suggest this hotel if you like to be in the heart of the action. Playa is very developed compared to the last time I was there which is good and bad.
