Underwhelmed and stressful time
LAexplorer99 (Southern California, USA) on Mar 18, 2024
Room was not up to par as one of AX's premier properties. Front desk was awesome. Breakfast was a nightmare. One of the managers was great. A snowball of small to medium glitches turned into an avalanche. Was there five days and four nights. It was sad as I needed the respite and the rest but got neither.
Great hotel in the heart of downtown

Really friendly service, was booked through the American Express app and was really delighted upon check in with how helpful the staff were. The hallway to the rooms were under construction so it wasn’t 100% but the hotel itself was really clean and all staff were really friendly if anything was ever needed. Will definitely be back again!
Fairmont SF a good choice to stay

Impressive upscale hotel as most Fairmonts are. Located in one of the better parts of San Francisco with park down the street and a small sidewalk cafe around corner we ate at. I say "good location" as we're familiar with SF & we stayed recently in downtown section at a nice hotel, which had sidewalk tents across the street & yelling in the middle of the night from street [we were on 8th floor]. You won't find that in this location as cleaner area and views of SF Bay. Fairmont is nice inside and out and they upgraded us N/C to a nicer large room. A nice plus is their rooftop garden with great views of the city and lots of lounge chairs where we spent an afternoon.
Great Stay

We stayed at the Fairmont in San Francisco for a three day company event and it was such a great experience. All the rooms for the events, the accommodation, the overall facilities, and the service were all fantastic. Everyone was very helpful.
WiFi scam
DeeM1971 (London, United Kingdom) on Mar 07, 2024
On check in I questioned a WiFi charge. I was told it would be removed on check-out. It wasn’t I was charged £70 wifi for a 3 night stay. The hotel lied in check in. Totally ruined my opinion of the place despite anything else the hotel had to offer. What 4 or 5 star hotel charges WiFi? That is ridiculous.
