My son and I went down for the week of the 4th. I was very sceptical about staying here due to the reviews about the rudeness of the employees. We had a great week. The place was exactly what we wanted and the staff were very friendly. We definitely be back for spring break.

Pristine beach location, but some things are missing

I have stayed at this hotel multiple times, and there are some pluses and minuses. Some of the minuses stood out more than usual most recently. The plus is the location. The hotel is located on a pristine beach, right on the sand. If you get an ocean front first floor room, you literally step out onto the sand. I’ve never tried one of these rooms because I like to have a balcony, but they look cool. The rooms are large and average, recently updated but not posh. In the past I haven’t minded the rooms too much, because the balcony view (if you have a balcony) and pristine location makes up for it. But he this time, the little things got under my skin. And I wouldn’t be too interested in staying there if I didn’t have a beach front room. The hotel would quickly become a motel in that instance. For one, the air conditioner is super noisy. Very annoying. It didn’t bother me so much until I read another post and became aware, but once I did, I got tired of hearing it. The hotel doesn’t furnish pool or beach towels. They don’t furnish chairs at the beach. You have to rent cabanas from a separate company not affiliated with the hotel - and when you rent a cabana, that’s all you get. A “mattress” that countless others have used. No towels, and they are strict about taking the cabanas away at a certain time, around 5:00pm or so. This time I went across the street to Publix and bought towels, lawn chairs and an umbrella, with the intention of leaving them there after our stay, because I wanted my autonomy and didn’t want to have to rent a cabana or be kicked out of it at a certain time. The hotel staff is great, and the hotel doesn’t pretend to be anything it’s not, but I think next time I will try another hotel in the area, as I would like something slightly more upscale. I missed the basic amenities such as towels & beach chairs provided by the hotel.

We stayed here for 4 days to celebrate our 40th. From the time we got here Randy, Jennifer and Joleen could not have been nicer or more helpful . Restaurant has the friendliest girls working breakfast. Marcy and the rest of the girls and food were great. Tiki bar by the pool & beach was fun. Sandwiches, drinks and Ken, Megan and Char were ??. We had an Ocean front room with balcony. Clean and has been renovated. Loved the bright colors in the room and plenty of room. View was beautiful! Room 378 ! We will be back! A big thanks to Everyone that made our stay perfect. Saltwater pool and right on the beach. No complaints from us.

    Good hotel not great

This was an old hotel with a nice pool area. It’s a little dark and dingy but it’s old that is to be expected. The rooms were good size. Beds were great. Staff was very good. The restaurant surprisingly had excellent food. A fantastic breakfast. Bathrooms were ok. Place needs a facelift but the price is good and the view is great from you beachfront room. Easy to navigate and right on the ocean. There are better more upscale hotels but this is cheap and in a great location across from Publix. I would stay here again as this is all you need for a 3–4 day getaway.
