    Worst "resort" ever! This place absolutely does not deserve to be called a resort. Although it fits the definition of a resort in having food, drinks, and other activities without needing to leave the property what is offered is ghetto and subpar. We were going to a wedding and felt if we left it would be disrespectful. Check In: When we got checked in nobody came to take our luggage to the room. We were given two bottles of water and told "your room is in the main building". No map, no directions, and nobody guided us. The main building is obvious but being told just to go and find your room. She did not say which side of the main building. We had to figure it out and read the old dirty signs. There was nobody to ask around. The “lobby area” is ghetto, old, dark, and did not even look like a lobby. The elevators are disgusting. There is NO hand sanitizer around. Not by the elevators or any of the common areas. There are gates after gates to get into the pool area, to get to the bar area, and still NO hand sanitizer. Disgusting. Getting towels for the pool comes from a machine! Again, we had to ask another visitor where to find this as the front desk people failed to tell us. We were hoping that all this was not a precursor to what the room as going to be like, but we were wrong in being hopeful as the room is also ghetto and gross. The Room: We apparently got one of the new renewed rooms. It is the ones with the tacky writing on the wall. As we walk into the room and it had a musky smell. There was a humidifier in the room! The TV did not work. The sheets are the bed were dirty. There was mascara on one of the pillowcases. Photo provided as I am not lying. I called and told the front desk that I had mascara on my pillowcase and the front desk girl was like “Oh, you want new sheets? “ Ummm… YES! No apologies. No nothing. I said, “of course I want new sheets and I do not want anyone coming in this room to put them on.” We did it ourselves. Ps. Bringing the sheets took the room took forever over 30 mins. Please see my photos: There was writing on the door, dirt on the bed border, the walls were messed up, the modern popcorn ceiling in the bathroom was blow out and had a hole so there was probably a leak. There were daily water puddles in the hallway because of the wall A/C leaking. The hallways were old and dirty with furniture turned over. It is $20.00 if you want an umbrella on the beach. The chairs looked dirty and I do not think they clean in between people. Apparently, the neighboring hotels are not any better. We will never be going back to that area of Florida. The entire experience has left a bad taste in our mouths not to mention what we paid for. Rip off. This place was SO terribly ghetto please stay away.

    We love staying at the Sirata! We have stayed here three times in the past year. We love being right on the beach and being able to enjoy the two pools. The rooms are comfy too. They also have great drinks at the bar!

    Horrible customer service.

    If you follow my reviews up and down the east coast you know I try to be as fair as possible to all establishments. My daughter had her wedding here. It gets a 3 only due to the wedding planner and catering service. Kelly did a super job with the planning and the reception and staff at the compass grill onsite were great. The setting of the property is beautiful and that is all the good there was. The desk staff is pretty much useless and the resort fees are just a way to overcharge you for a room. They try to blame everything on the pandemic instead of the fact they don't want to pay staff to work. The rooms were not properly cleaned upon arrival. The floors were gross and dirty. We had small children in socks and they were dirtier than when the ran around outside. Went to the front desk to let them know. They said they would send someone up. They didn't. Went back down the next morning and was told they only clean every 4 days. I said that is fine if it was cleaned to start with. Funny the lady next to me said they were canceling their rooms because the rooms were disgusting. So they sent someone to clean. 4 days later I saw the housekeeper and asked if our rooms were getting cleaned. They cleaned 2 of 3. Same time frame. They do text you to see how things are all the time but don't really care about your response. The laundry room was closed due to "covid rules" but the laundromat on the street was open. Still trying to figure out what the "resort fee" was. They give you a plastic band to wear to show you have access. They never check and the locals know that. Talked to people by the pool who said they bring their children all the time because they live close and can just walk in and use things for free except for the towels which you need because the don't clean the rooms everyday. You get 2 beach chairs to use per room. But you sit where they put them. Went to the beach guy to get to chairs because the were stacked up. He said he has the ones out where he put them we have to use what he set up even though it was away from the side of the beach we entered on. He was to lazy to set them up on both sides. Each room has a dehumidifier. You as the guest are required to empty but they don't tell you that it is there and how to do it. While talking to other guest that were complaining that their air conditioning was good I told them about it. They were shocked. Pool lights are on occasionally at night. Mainly when they are able to make money from the bar that is there and they let people swim all night. We went evening swimming one night and were told to get out at 11 because the pool was closed. The other night people were swimming at 2am. You put your garbage outside of the room for them to pick up.....when they want. Ran out of toilet paper because the don't supply the rooms for the 4 day cleaning cycle. Went to the front desk to get a roll. They said they would have housekeeping bring it. 2 hours later I went back down because we still didn't receive it. Finally they got someone to bring a roll. And then we had to loan ours to guest next door because they ran out. Looking up at the rooms from down below is kind of looking at a homeless camp. The hot tub they have has only 2 jets that work. No one maintains the pool during the day so if it gets debris in it you have to swim around it. I contacted Jackie that was supposed to be a manager to voice my concerns. She apologized and said the would credit 1/2 of the resort fees. And just like the rest of the staff....nothing was done. Other than the setting you would get better service at a motel 6.

    I have been coming to the Sirata for years and the facility, room and service are at its upmost low. In fact, this resort is among the worst I have stayed in since my early 20's. I stayed in an ocean view room and upon arrival we found the room was not cleaned thoroughly and there was dog hair and ants everywhere. We ate at Rum Rummers and the Compass Grill. The Compass Grill has black soot extending from the vents. The lights have stains on the covers as if there was/is a leak. The food at Rum Runners arrived cold and wrong. The pool area did not allow some people to have coolers; while others were left alone to enjoy their snacks. I will never return.

    My wife and I got married here 10 years ago. This place has gone down each time we've stayed since. Our current weekend getaway hasn't gone well. To begin, our room was not cleaned properly. The shower, the toilet, the floor were all poorly cleaned. I'll spare you the specifics, But if we were here for more than two days we would have left. The food was not very good. We had dinner at Rum Runners. We had breakfast at the Compass Grill. We will not eat there again. Oh, and the gym is closed because of "Covid". Now I stay in hotels regularly traveling on business. They figured out how to keep the gym open during this challenge. So did the last resort we stayed at a few months ago. Why can't the "Sirata" figure this out. A day at the beach wasn't much better. I tried to get towels. But the towel station was closed, and the towel kiosks were empty everywhere. We did bring a simple cooler with us with a few snacks and cocktails. We were very discreet about it. We still purchased plenty of food and cocktails at the facility. But we couldn't have a simple cooler at the beach. We couldn't have a cooler at the pool. We finally got frustrated watching other folks being treated poorly and just went back to the room. We are not the only ones frustrated. I typically overlook most of this stuff, and give businesses the benefit of the doubt. But too many issues have really frustrated me. Please, don't use the "Covid" excuse. All of these issues have nothing to do with Covid. I travel all the time. Management texted me as a returning guest asking if I needed anything, and the staff are very friendly. They are trying to do their best. Thing are not all bad. I'm just disappointed.
