Stayed here for our family holiday, check in was slow despite there been no queue. Upon checking in we were advised the resort fee had gone up from the $15 when we booked to now $40. I mentioned this to the desk but they said there’s nothing they can do about it and I should chase up my travel agent! Our family is 3 but the resort fee only provides 2 sun beds so we would need to pay for our daughter to have one. Another small annoyance - you get 2 ‘free’ bottles of water when checking in as part of your resort fee, there was 3 of but they wouldn’t give us one for daughter. Part of the resort fee gives you access to ‘free’ rum, wine or beer for 30 mins each day. This service does not provide soft drinks so again our daughter was left out. We had an issue with our room and reported it to reception who said there are no managers available it one will contact us before 10 am the next day. No one ever came to see us so we went back to speak the desk. This time the service was 100 times better and the guy behind the desk sorted out the problem straight away. His name is Alan and he is a credit to your team and went above and beyond. He also sorted out the resort fee and honoured our original price without hesitation. The hotel is lovely and clean and is in a great location. It has 2 pools although one was adults only for the weekend which isn’t good for a family hotel. Parking available and it’s included in your resort fee. House keeping did a great job but they can come later, on a few occasions it was after 5pm when they came. It’s a nice hotel but could be a lot better with a few tweaks especially with the original front desk team.

We liked the amazing view. The pool area was so pretty. We love that beach towels are available. We loved the kiddie area with the turtles. We loved the spacious suite. Our bed was comfortable and we loved the pillows. When we arrived though we checked in at 4pm and changed and were excited to head straight to the beach. We picked a lounge chair at the beach and were told they we going to be putting them away. Just felt like we were so excited and then disappointed to find that at arrival time everything was being packed up. Maybe they could leave a few chairs out until sunset. Maybe we should have brought our own. Later that evening our kids wanted to sleep on the pull out couch my husband walked to the front desk to ask for an extra blankets. He was told someone would bring one up to our room. It never arrived. This was frustrating. We went without. Our last night someone was smoking by the pool. I don't think this is allowed but there was no one policing this either. A group of customers were loud and rowdy. I expected a more family friendly environment. The toilet ran all night. The bathroom could use some maintenance. Overall we had a nice stay.

Great resort, but the thing that made my trip the most worthwhile was, of course, the beach. But the beach alone did not make my trip amazing, it was the staff who were working on the beach. I believe their names were Raffy and Brandon, two young men who helped me out a ton while I was out! They brought me water and towels at my request with no hesitation, while also maintaining other guests’ happiness and satisfaction by fulfilling their requests. The hotel itself was also fine. Nothing crazy, but it got the job done.

Second time around, still didn't disappoint

Stayed here for a week at the end of August with my wife and two children. This is our second time staying here and we loved it again. Stayed in building 4 in a family suite thanks to Michael at the front desk, and it was perfect for what we needed. Spent most of our time around the pool by Harry's beach bar, love the changes you made. Housekeeping was questionable our first couple of days but was awesome our last three days. We love the proximity to the beach and some of the local restaurants, Blue Fugu is one of our favourites. The only negative thing I have is the $40 a day resort tax for things that are free at most hotels. Working in the hotel industry myself, I don't agree with this. Overall, we loved our time here and will back next year.
