This season, we join Ronald McDonald House to spread extra comfort and hope to families across Canada. With stories, surprises, and gifts from the heart, over 700 WestJetters across the country volunteered to make the magic possible for families staying this holiday season.

When a child is hospitalized, they deserve a well-cared for family by their side. But for two thirds of Canadians living in a city or town without a children’s hospital, travel to access medical treatment is a necessity. Last year alone, families journeyed more than 4.5 million kilometers to access their child’s medical care. As the only national organization enabling access to Canada’s paediatric healthcare system, Ronald McDonald House is more than a place to stay - they offer meals, mental health and wellness programs, and a caring community that helps families stay in their child’s fight.

WestJet is proud to be an important part of that community, and since 2007, have partnered with Ronald McDonald Houses across Canada to help families navigate these most challenging times. Since the partnership began, WestJet has provided more than 7,200 one-way flights to support families, administration needs, and fundraising efforts.

In exchange for the potential to appear in certain promotional advertising for WestJet, an Alberta partnership, you hereby agree with and represent to WestJet as follows:

Any content that I share or upload, such as photos or videos, I grant WestJet a permanent, non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, and worldwide license to host, use, distribute, modify, run, copy, publicly perform or display, translate, and create derivative works of your content.

I hereby confirm that I have received consent from my nominee to use their name (or any fictional name), picture, likeness, image, moving image, film, videotape, portrait, or photograph in all forms and in all media and in all manners, without any restriction as to changes or alterations (including but not limited to composite or distorted representations or derivative works made in any medium) for advertising, trade, promotion, exhibition, or any other lawful purposes, and my nominee waives any right to inspect or approve the footage, images, photograph(s) or finished version(s) incorporating the footage, images, photograph(s) including written copy, dialogue, or voice over that may be created and appear in connection there with.

I confirm both my nominee and I live in Canada, and we are the age of majority of our province.

I hereby release and agree to hold harmless WestJet, its assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives and heirs from any liability by virtue of any editing, blurring, distortion, alteration, optical illusion, or use in composite form whether intentional or otherwise, that may occur or be produced in the taking of the footage, images, or photograph(s), or in any editing or processing tending toward the completion of the finished product, unless it can be shown that the footage, images, photograph(s) and the publication, or broadcast thereof were maliciously caused, produced, broadcast or published solely for the purpose of subjecting me to conspicuous ridicule, scandal, reproach, scorn, and indignity. I agree that WestJet owns the copyright in these images, footage, photograph(s) and I hereby waive any claims I may have based on usage of the images, footage, photograph(s) or works derived there from, including but not limited to claims for either performance rights, invasion of, privacy, personality rights or libel.

I hereby release and agree to hold harmless WestJet, its assigns, licensees, successors in interest, legal representatives and heirs from any liability by virtue of providing WestJet with the name and contact information of my nominee.

I confirm that neither I nor my nominee have a criminal record for which pardon has not been granted and that we are not involved in any criminal activity. I will not make any written or oral statements that may contradict, conflict or interfere in any way with the positive images and brands of WestJet, its parent(s), and its affiliated companies.

I am not relying upon any oral or written representations or statements made by WestJet other than set forth in this agreement.

I am of legal age and competent to sign this agreement. I agree that this release shall be binding on me, my legal representatives, heirs, successors in interest, legal representatives, and assigns. I have read this agreement and am fully familiar with its contents.
