Rejecting the popular music of his youth in 1980s England, producer Ott immersed himself in more underground styles, particularly German electronic music. Throughout the next decade, Ott worked steadily as a studio engineer, building up an extensive set of skills until he decided to branch out on his own in 2000, holing himself up in a rural cottage and producing his own tracks. Ott's efforts resulted in a heavy blend of traditional Jamaican dub and German-influenced electronica, and have garnered him a respectable fan base throughout the UK as well as abroad.
