Outdoor Activities

Though not as famous as Caya Coco, Cayo Guillermo is still a popular isle amongst nature lovers and beach enthusiasts. This cay is also the home of the Parque Nacional de Cayo Guillermo and Playa Beach, one of the best Cuban beaches. There are four inclusive resorts on the northern part of the island. Bird watching, deep-sea fishing, sport fishing, snorkeling and boat trips are some of the activities that can be enjoyed at this isle. Don't miss the Lago La Redonda, a small lake to know about the mangroves and swamps of this area. Ernest Hemingway was a frequent visitor of this cay and had based his novel, The Old Man and the Sea, on this place.
