Outdoor Activities

Home to an impressive 7000 turtles, Cayman Turtle Farm: Island Wildlife Encounter was established in 1968. Get up-close and personal with these exciting marine creatures in the Turtle Touch Tanks and Wading Pools where you're welcome to get hands on and snap photos of young turtles. Swim along with young green sea turtles and other marine animals in the Turtle Lagoon or check out the mature green sea turtles in the Genesis Pond nesting ground. After, check out the Kemp's Ridley enclosure for a glimpse of the rare and endangered species and the Loggerhead's Sea Loft where you'll find some of the largest hard-shelled turtles. Other attractions include Smiley's Saltwater Lagoon, Predator Reef, and the Caribbean Free Flight Aviary. If you're visiting with kids, don't miss Breaker's Lagoon, where you can splash around, try the slide, and enjoy an underwater viewing area. Better still, Cayman Turtle Farm has a turtle hatchery that not only gives you insight into the lives of turtles but also the importance of their conservation and breeding. There's even more to do than mentioned here, so you'll definitely want to see this site for yourself.
