USS Kittiwake set sail in 1946 and was decommissioned in 1994. She was finally sunk as an artificial reef in 2011 and is among the Caribbean's most famous wreck dives ever since. Since it is close to the shore and at shallow levels, scuba diving, free diving and snorkeling are popular activities at the Kittiwake Shipwreck & Artificial Reef. Get to know how this submarine rescue ship which was always a divers ship when it was active, is still a favorite for underwater exploits. Explore its five decks which are still intact and the marine life abounding in and around it. There is an entrance fee charged which is taken from your tour operator.
