Once a manor house belonging to plantation owner William Eden, the Pedro St. James Historic Site now stands as the oldest building in the Cayman Islands. Not long ago, its crumbling ruins were restored by the Cayman government to showcase the aesthetic of an original 18th-century structure. Come see how a wealthy landowner lived and learn about the property's lengthy history, which is tied into the very history of the island itself. Nicknamed the birthplace of democracy in the Cayman Islands, the site also notably served as a meeting point for the first Caymanian parliament in 1831. If you'd like to do more than just visit this beautiful landmark, feel free to inquire about hosting a wedding or other private event on the property.
