Since it first opened its doors in 1975, the Art Gallery of Grande Prairie has come to be home to the most extensive public art collection in Peace River Country, and is one of Alberta's largest. Through a diverse program of art exhibitions and events, the gallery showcases contemporary and fine art in a variety of mediums, granting visitors a chance to delve into the vivid and wondrous world of the visual arts. Glimpse the world through the eyes of the artist as you tour the gallery's vibrant exhibits at the Montrose Cultural Centre, or book a guided group tour instead. Entrance to the gallery is always free, opening the door to the arts for the community as whole.
