Outdoor Activities

Saskatoon Island Provincial Park lies sprawling across the spit of land that separates Little Lake and Saskatoon Lake from each other. The park is a favorite amongst birdwatchers and is home to numerous waterfowl species, including the rare and beautiful Trumpeter Swans. Although best known as a destination for birding, visitors can also enjoy activities like hiking, camping, cycling, canoeing, kayaking, cross-country skiing and snowshoeing at the park. As you explore Saskatoon Island, keep an eye out for local wildlife like moose, beavers, coyotes and muskrats and hunt for Saskatoon Berries like the Cree once did on this former island. Alive with birdsong, the Saskatoon Island Provincial Park is a nature lover's haven.
