One of the most acclaimed bands of modern music, Radiohead is an experimental rock band comprised of five musicians who have mastered the art of making music that's intelligent, catchy and shrouded in allegorical meaning. Unlike so many famous rock bands, Radiohead has maintained its original lineup of Thom Yorke, Ed O'Brien, Phil Selway and brothers Jonny and Colin Greenwood since its formation in 1985. Progressing from the fairly straightforward alternative rock of its debut album, 1993's Pablo Honey, to the experimental territories of its landmark record OK Computer, and the electronic and jazz-inspired efforts of Kid A and Amnesiac, Radiohead has created a sound that is distinctive yet never tiresome. Having managed to tap into new elements of music with each record while preserving its unmistakable style, the band has broken several boundaries for independent music including releasing its 2007 album In Rainbows, as a digital download and allowing fans name their own price for it. Unreserved for any given generation, Radiohead will be remembered as one of the greatest music acts of all time.
