Located close to the Okanagan Lake, the Okanagan Heritage Museum is one of the best places in the city to gain some knowledge about the local and regional history as well as catch a glimpse of ethnographic exhibits from various corners of the world including Asia, Africa and South American and Central America. Known for hosting traveling and local exhibits, the exhibitions at the Okanagan Heritage Museum not only offer a lot of information about the region’s and the world’s history and culture, but they are also usually quite thought-provoking. The museum, besides displaying exhibits, is also the site of a public research facility and a conservation laboratory. Note that the admission to the fascinating museum is by donation only.
