Covent Garden Market has a history that dates back to the 1840s. Located in downtown London, it features an indoor as well as outdoor marketplace where local farmers sell the best available produce and home-grown products. While the indoor market remains open all week, the outdoor market is only available between May and December on Thursdays and Saturdays. During the open market season, locals and tourists alike flock here to get their hands on fresh, seasonal produce, organic products, homemade gourmet ingredients, not to mention catch a glimpse of the local scene. One of its many perks, several cultural and family programs are often arranged at the market. Last but not least, Covent Garden Market features food from some of the most popular eateries in town: Tanakaya, The Piping Kettle Soup Co., and The New Delhi Deli to name a few.
