Outdoor Activities

Fanshawe Conservation Area is a part of the Upper Thames River Conservation Association. The conservation area covers about 1214 hectares (3000 acres) around the Fanshawe Reservoir. On offer are a host of outdoor activities, such as camping, biking, hiking, and picnicking, guaranteeing a great day of outdoor fun. The area is also home to species like bald eagles, groundhogs, skunks, raccoons, and deer, to name a few. The lake boasts of a wide variety of fish, such as bass, carp, perch, pike, and walleye, therefore creating a great spot for fishing during summers. If that's not your cup of tea, you can always go boating, canoeing, or kayaking at Lake Fanshawe.
