Located on Richmond Street, The Grand Theatre is a classy venue that stages different genres of theater. Opened in September of 1901, it has a classical design that exemplifies the traditional theatrical aesthetic, having modeled its interior on the Proscenium Arch theatre style. The regular season runs between September and May with a seating capacity of 839. There is also a secondary space on the lower floor called the McManus Theatre, which itself can accomodate 150 guests. In its time, The Grand Theatre has seen legendary actors like Sarah Bernhardt, Sidney Poitier, Maggie Smith, and Michael Redgrave perform, so be sure to book tickets for a show next season.
