Entertainment

Summer Sunday afternoons just got better. Join Maestro Victor Vener and Cal Phil, one of Southern California's leading orchestras, as they perform their popular concert series. This year's lineup includes great works composed here in America in celebration of Independence Day, opera music ranging from Puccini to Andrew Lloyd Webber's "Phantom of the Opera", symphonic greats re-imagined for hip-hop dance, and more. Each performance features special guests, such as film and TV star Aldis Hodge (the "Die Hard" franchise, "Straight Outta Compton" and "Hidden Figures") narrating a piece about Abraham Lincoln, James Barbour from Broadway's "Phantom", and even a greeting by iconic cinematic composer John Williams. Beat the heat sitting inside the visually and acoustically stunning Walt Disney Concert Hall, while Cal Phil takes you on a thrilling musical journey in each concert. See the full event description for more details about each performance.
