Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is the major airport for flights to and from the city. It handles the major chunk of domestic and international passengers and air cargo traffic in Southern California. It is the fifth busiest airport in the world, with more than 60 million people visiting annually. Its important features include four runways, a central terminal area with nine terminals, a 277-feet high control tower, parking space for 21,115 vehicles, and a number of cargo complexes.
