Outdoor Activities

A visually impressive phenomenon appearing on the waters of the Peticodiac River, the Tidal Bore is a result of the high waves occurring in the Bay of Fundy. This mass body of water is popular for its gigantic waves that enter the Peticodiac River twice in a day. The tides can be observed early in the morning and then before sundown, and they are particularly breathtaking when full moon nights are nearer. A sought-after site among avid surfers, Tidal Bore is a natural spectacle that simply cannot be missed during your tour. There are several spots across the city where you can enjoy the waves, but the Bore View Park provides a better vantage point.
