Event

This annual festival of Amerindian and Inuit cultures brings together filmmakers, musicians, visual artists, artisans, dancers and theatre troupes for a two week celebration of peace and harmony among peoples. It has grown from its humble beginnings in 1991 to become one of the most important events on the Montreal cultural calendar. The festival culminates in the colorful First Nations Day parade, starting at terrace St. Denis (St. Denis south of Sherbrooke) and ending at Park Emilie-Gamelin. Dates for 2010 are still to be announced, do call ahead or check the website for more details.
