Covering upto 500 kilometers (325 miles), the Kettle Valley Railroad is one of the oldest railroads of Canada. It was inaugurated in 1915 and served commuters for almost seven decades before air travel and dense highway networks rendered it obsolete in 1989. Today, painstaking efforts by local authorities have breathed a new life into this historic mode of transport that lets visitors explore scenic vistas on a two-hour tour. Your train ride is completed with scrumptious BBQ and pseudo bandits who playfully rob travelers. Banjo music adds a touch of entertainment, and giggling children and gleeful co-passengers sum up your journey.
