Outdoor Activities

Located to the east of Skaha Lake, the Skaha Bluffs Provincial Park features a majestic landscape of soaring cliffs and verdant grasslands just a short drive outside Penticton's main city limits. The sprawling park covers a total area of 489 hectares (1208 acres) of land that is home to the endangered bighorn sheep as well as numerous other native species of birds and animals. While there are several hiking trails waiting to be explored, the more adventurous at heart can try their hand at scaling the bluffs on the northern side of the park. From the top, enjoy spellbinding views over Skaha Lake and the surrounding peaks. Apart from hiking and rock climbing, the park is also a popular choice for activities like horseback riding, mountain biking and wildlife viewing. There is no potable water available at the park so be sure to carry your own.
