The aquamarine wooden framed house with painted white roof, window panes and balcony presents an attractive picture. It was the home of General Gregorio Luperón during his last few years. Established in 2012, Casa Museo General Gregorio Luperón took long in the making and is an ode to a national hero who played a pivotal role in the Dominican Restoration War. This bi-level museum is divided into eight rooms. Get to know the life of the former president of the Dominican Republic. All of the halls are themed and give a glimpse of Luperón's life from his humble beginnings to being a statesman. Life sized statues, period decor, vintage photos and personal items belonging to Luperón and family are some of the things that you get to see in this museum. Non-resident have to pay 200DOP for adults and 100DOP for kids.
