Looking for an escape from the hustle and bustle of the big city? Then a day’s trip to the quaint village of Yelapa is a must. Yelapa is a small village located in the southern most part of Banderas Bay, and is accessible by boat. The Yelapa waterfall is a delightful, narrow stream of water, which is about 100 feet (30 meters) tall, and is surrounded by lush green forest. To reach the waterfalls, tourists can take a hike, or rent a horse, and reach the falls. Once here, tourist will enjoy the beauty of the falls, and can enjoy a swim in the beautiful pond at the base of the falls. There is a public rest room, and a small cafe near the falls. After spending a good time at the falls, tourist can trek back and bury their toes in the beautiful sands of Yelapa’s expansive beach.
